I just used KCCC for the first time this past week and my hair came out curly, spirally...and sticky!!!:perplexed All I did was wash my hair with Tresseme Naturals shampoo (LOVES!!!:love5:), DC with some cheappie treatment from Wal-Mart (can't remember the name...sorry) and then I coat my hair with a bit of the Tresseme Naturals condish and then shingled with the KCCC. The LOOK of my hair was cute, but I can't touch my hair! I know that that is a big no-no, but HIH disease is hard to get over! Anyways, I tried again today (washed with shampoo, conditioned and lightly coated the hair with condish then KCCC'd), but got the same results--like I put glue in my hair!!!

Anyone else have this problem??? If so, what did you do to get more touchable hair???

How much of the KCCC did you use? I've never used it, but from the reviews that I've seen on YT, it seems that the amount used plays a part in the results received.

Also, is it possible that your hair is sticky b/c you didn't use the Knot Today. I know plenty of people use KCCC with other conditioners and their hair comes out fine (e.g., Taren916 used it with the Tresemme Naturals condish & her hair came out fine), but some people have to use the Knot Today. It's also recommended that the KCCC be used with the KCKT.

I don't think I used too much--for my hair--but this is my first time using the product. Also, I have heard reviews about the KT being a weird leave-in, so I just went with the Tresseme...

I have since turned the style into some chunky twists! I just going to wear it like that for a week or so!

Thanks!!!!

KCCC is supposed to be used with some kind of leave-in underneath. I don't think KCKT is a "weird" leave-in at all. It was made to be used with the KC.

KCCC is sticky when you use too much or when you touch it while it is trying to dry. When it is dry it should not be sticky at all anymore. You will know if you use too much if it is crunchy or hard when dry but scrunching the section some will soften it up.

you have to play around and find the right amount of KCCC for you...its easy to use too much, and your hair will be sticky and/or crunchy...i prefer to use a leave in all over first, then smooth and scrunch in a little KCCC on top and in the parts where i want to define and control frizz

I find that KCCC works best with only KCKT underneath it. It's also works better if I start with freshly clarified hair.

For me i have to use it on really wet hair and I have to keep saturating my hair as I go along.

it was a lot of trial in error with the amount I had to use and I had a long hard fight with my first jar I had hard hair, sticky hair, damp all day hair the finally I started to get it right. My formula for success was a 7 day process but it was great to get a week of styling off a bit of kcc.

While I was using it my regimen was this:

Sat. Wash , dc , apply kcc early
Sun. Spray with my Jane Carter leave in the pull back in a curly puff
Mon. Same as sun
Tues. If I could I would try to get away with another curly puff if not I would wet and do mini twist
Wed. Either twist or rock my mini twist
Thur. Take twist out for a nice twist out
Fri. Usually still rockin the twist out

I did that for a few weeks until my hair started screaming wash me by mid week now I'm braided up but when I go back to using it I will try to get 7 days out of it again

Eta: I started out using kcnt but I switched to Jane carter's nourish and shine that worked better for me so I don't think ur leave in would matter that much
