Anyone use an atomizer for their hair oils?

Anyone ever use an atomizer to apply oil to their strands? I'm thinking of purchashing it to apply my hemp oil for oil rinses. Do you find it beneficial or a waste of money? Thanks. I found this one on
Amazon.

wow never even heard of this... Off to do some research.

ETA: I think it's a wast when an applicator bottle does the trick.

Yeah, I would consider it a waste compared to using an applicator bottle for the scalp. But the reason I'm considering the atomizer is because it supposedly can help you evenly and sparingly apply oil to the strands.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to achieve that with the applicator bottle because too much comes out and I can't seem to spread it evenly through my hair (or not evenly enough for my liking without some hair seeming like it has a lot of oil and some strands seeming like it doesn't have enough.)

if it really works, then $10 isnt that bad...i also find that oil doesnt distribute evenly if you put it in a regular spray bottle. i would consider getting this, but i don't really use oil on my hair anymore outside of my dc's...back in the day i lovvvvveeeeddd me some oil sheen, and i think this would replicate the spraying action of that.

I use a sprayer bottle from Walmart, it cost less than a dollar and can be found with the bins with the other samples products. I like it because it has a fine spray and I am using much less oil. I use to use the applicator bottle with the small tip and I found that I used too much oil, which clogged my bathroom drains on regular basis. I would recommend you give the a try first, it is pretty much the same concept as the atomizer but much cheaper.

You can find these sprayer at Sally Beauty Supply but I found the ones from Wally world to be a little more sturdy and can hold a larger amount of oil.

Thanks. I think I will give that a try first. It's worth a shot!

Never thought about it, but it seems like it would work just fine. I would worry about thick oils like caster oil clogging it up, though.

I used to use a kitchen-use spray bottle specifically for olive oil. I liked it much better than an applicator bottle. IMO, I was using less oil & had less drips.

Yeah. I think anything heavier than olive oil might cause clogging. I want to use it for hemp oil, which *I think* is pretty light.

this sounds so scientific...

Lol! I know, right! Since I stopped spending huge money at the salon, I like to try stuff I never would have bought before (like hemp seed oil and atomizers!) -- my reward for discovering my HHJ and my own SKILLS!:yep:

I have three bottles, one with olive oil, one with Hot Six oil and one with a mixture of castor oil, grapeseed oil and sunflower oil. I haven't had any issues yet.
