Anyone ever use this? Or this?

(Sorry - I tried to post product pictures and the little write ups but the site won't let me.)

Searching the boards, I see people really like the leave-in by this brand, but there doesn't seem to be too much information about this on the interwebs . . . .

Although I haven't tried this, I am glad you have shed some light on this, I did not know that something such as this actually existed! I am interested in trying this!

New Growth Thermo Control serum is a styling system that is designed to help soften, condition, loosen, and manage new growth. As you transition from relaxed hair to natural, the no more relaxer thermo control serum will help you maintain the new growth while you grow out your relaxer.

There is versatility and style in the pursuit of the ultimate in natural hair care. Transition naturals contain an ancient blend of nourishing natural herbs, fruit essence and plant extract discovered in the fertile hills of Jamaica. This technology elongates the hair bond for easier combining by creating a temporary shift in the structure of the hair. Bonds are not broken as they are with a relaxer, therefore your hair never loses its natural curl pattern. We have developed the perfect system to maintain and style hair that is in transition from relaxed to natural."

I've been waiting on someone to try this. I've studied and stared at and contemplated these kits since they came out a while back. If it would make straighten easier, I'd like to try it seeign as how I dont straighten my hair often at all.
It's ethier this or the ion keratin treatment for me. I just wish that when the company that is geared toward naturals comes out with a product that says it temporarily shifts the structure of the hair, but does not break the bonds like a relaxer....would expound upon that little nugget. Does it not break the bonds like a relaxer at all or "quite" like a relaxer, you know?

I know when I picked up the bottles all the products hae mineral oil high up or like the second ingredient.

Eta- I am talking about their products not this kit.

Droid typing leads to typos for me

This looks promoising! I wonder if it is safe for kids? I would love to hear more reviews! Off to watch the youtube vid.

Msmchy - i love your hair in your siggy. the color is nice!

also, bumping to hear from someone who has used this. sounds promising. the person who makes an effective transition kit will be set for life...

I give this the side eye, just like I gave that naturalaxer back a couple years ago. Can't these people just let us be with our hair. Who told them that our hair was "unmanageable". Ugh, I'm tired of these serums and magic potions to make natural hair straight.

The kit sounds like a normal relaxer, instructions and all no thanks

I would have tried these products if I could figure out what the hell they are. Is it a humidity blocking serum like Sabino? Is it a bkt? a texturizer?! The company needs clearer advertising.

At my Sally's, we have the same 4 kits that we had when they first came out, cause nobody knows what it is.

And I've taken these kits apart trying to figure out why they require gloves.

Yes I agree with you ladies, They need to expound better on what it does IN GRAVE DETAIL....We dont play that!!!

Though there will be some brave soul....

From what I can see, it's to help transitioning from relaxed to natural. I mean, yeah that is ok I suppose but isn't this just a way to continuing straigtening? How is the transistioner going to be bable to understand her hair at different lengths if it's just straightened all the way throughout the transition?
I really don't see the need for this product to be honest, plus its to ambigous to even know what the results are supposed to be. It doesn't indicate how often its supposed to be used or how long it's supposed to be on the hair.

Maybe, if I was a newbie natural I would consider this, but after learning how to deal with my hair, I wouldn't waste money on it.

Now if it claimed to keep my hair soft for a month I would definitley look into it lol.

we are >>>likethis<<< on that one. I did the same thing. Took it apart during slow hours, read and re-read the non-informing pamplet...tried to get customers to at least consider it. Nada.:nono:

YES - so the fact that even the package doesn't give much info gives me pause. (Thanks FocusLady )

OT - Msmchy - your hair is

I have not tried the kit BUT I did try the new growth creme and let's just say it is wonderful. It is marketed towards transitioning hair but it is fantastic for stretchers as well. I love it so much I was going to make a thread about it, but I have been extremely busy. I don't remember seeing the kit but now I am curious. At any rate the new growth creme is the absolute best for edges and new growth. I don't know how to explain it, but it seriously softens in a way I have NEVER had a product do and takes the bulk out of new growth.
