LOL, website analytics...their clicks must have went up 10 fold in the last few days. It's kinda messed up to have a minimum on only select items though.

you know how we do.... I must have clicked 20 times a day alone:look:
still never opened those boxes... I need to count them

i noticed that last week the day after i got my stuff...and i also noticed it was only on ethnic hair care products...i wonder did that have anything to do with traffic from lhcf....i dont think its just a coincidence for some reason...why do i need to order 4 jars of ecostyler (or 7 if i get the 16 oz) at one time?...if they imposed the minimum on all the products, or atleast all the hair products then i wouldn't be mad, but something is fishy when you have to buy 4-7 of each creme of nature or softsheen carson product, but there's no minimum on paul mitchell or redken...

I just sent them a email asking why the change and why only on the ethnic products. I told them that a lot of the ladies on the forum are not happy. When I hear back, I'll post their response.

I think they did it because there were a lot of orders from LHCF and NC, and they probably lost some $ with the free shipping and 20% off. I think it's kinda wack, but hey, we did it. Supply and demand...I don't know anyone who was buying Redken and PM from them...

Okay so I called the customer service number and spoke to a representative. Supposedly the reason for the minimum requirements is because these products come in sealed packs of 2, 4, 7, etc (what ever the minimum is) and they do not want to break the packs open. So they are now selling them as then come.

She should have gone with my supply and demand explanation... :look:

That's the funniest thing I've heard all day.

Yeah right. Really tell customers that they only charge more for black hair care products but not others...so that only black customers have to pay more?

Nah, they could have made up some stuff about getting more orders for them so it's not cost effective to continue to sell one item at the lower price, so they have the minimums to alleviate that. I mean...they did put a minimum on KCCC too, and many white women use that.

I doubt that non black women are buying KCCC in droves. This is honestly about the fact that it was found out and they notice that these specific products are being purchased now and want to make money off of it. The problem that I have is it's only the black products. Why not implement it for the entire site? I smell some discriminatory bs on their site.

Actually a lot of non-black women buy KCCC...it's very popular.

Them making a significant amount of money off this is also questionable because they are already selling the products below retail prices with free shipping and 20-25% off. I haul anyway so I don't really have an issue with it, and the only "ethnic" things I buy are KCCC and Blue Ecostyler. Could they have added minimums to the "white" products? Sure, but if those aren't as popular anyway, why would they deter people from ordering them further?

I'm kinda pissed, I was going to order my KCKT, Curls and some TIGI from them and noticed the 2 piece minimum (only on the ethnic brands, TIGI's exempt), I knew it wasn't there before. *kicks rocks*
Guess I have to buy more stuff now :look:

i know they are lying on some of those products, .... but I would like to know which products come in 2's:rolleyes:  dem' lying

That's interesting. Last night, I was going to order 6 bottles of the Con Agran Wrapping Lotion and it was going to let me. So does it come in 4 or 2 pack? If it's only a 2 pack, why would I need to order 4 as a miminum :perplexed:perplexed:perplexed.

I e-mailed them about this and here's their response:

Dear M.,

Thank you very much for your email. I wanted to provide you with an explanation to your question.

With the recent launch of our Ethnic Hair Care Division comes internal operational challenges. These products are located and shipped from a separate warehouse. This warehouse has minimum order requirements in order to ship the products. The reason why we are able to bring such low prices to the consumer is because we have successfully expanded our wholesale division which empowers us to provide the lowest prices out there. With those benefits comes some guidelines we are required to follow. We are trying to enable our valuable customers to purchase product at wholesale pricing. We continually strive to support our customers as best as possible and try to maintain the ability to offer free shipping on all products above $25.

The reason why other items do not have a minimum is because they are located and shipped from a different warehouse where the rest of our inventory is kept. We hear your concern and will take an extra look to see if there is anything we can do to improve this process.

We truly appreciate your business! I hope my explanation clarifies the reasoning behind the minimum item requirements. I would be happy to discuss or explain this further at your convenience.

Respectfully,
Adam

I do however appreciate the timely and the professional response. Unlike the extreme nastiness I received from Oyin and Ayurnaturalbeauty.
