I am bunning it up ladies. I am so scared of messing up my ends now that I have gotten some length that I am using hairveda whipped ends at night to plait my 3 plaits, always was doing that but during the day I am using hairveda whipped gelly to make my ponytail and then plait it and wrap it around and tuck it under. I am trying what ever I can to not break my hair off. :yep: Loving my length and really can not believe how much it grew in 2 yrs. I mean I have always gotten my length back in 2 yrs but the last time I cut my hair off in 2002 :perplexed I didn't get the growth, I don't know if it is GA's water or what I just know that since I have been back to PA I am back BABY!! God willing I will keep it up..

Lots of women have success with bunning. Just be sure to keep those ends moist and make sure you're not making your pony too tight and you should be fine :yep:.

I just wanted to clear something up. I know that you all know by now that I am Muslim and can not show my hair which is why you never see pictures in my post except if I am talking about my mother or daughter. I always talk about wearing my hair out and about how good my curls look. The reason why I can wear my hair out so much and it looks great is because I never go outside. and I mean never. I can count weeks before I leave the house because I love staying in and because of how much pain I'm in everyday. so you and some other things I do are my social life. But this is why my hair looks so good everyday because I am not covering it everyday to go out.
I just thought I might clear that up... thanks for listening.

Sorry to hear about your pain; I hope things get better soon. Consider talking to you Dr about taking some Vit D since you very rarely get direct sunlight for extensive periods of time.

I love bunning too. I just suck at doing it justice! I'm going to try to concentrate more on my ends as far as moisture. My biggest problem is moisturizing and tucking the ends right so that they stay moisturized. I'm thinking about trying to figure out how to baggy just the very end and bun it up so the length covers everything.

I really wanted to make BSL before the year is out and since I have been wearing my hair out everyday I do notice that there is some frizzing on the ends that I am trying to talk myself out of cutting them off but it is irking me lol. But I am really tired of losing inches lol. So do you all think I need to cut or leave????

Oh my dr said all my blood work was fine. I am disabled because of my back and neck, my mom and my sister is also disabled from same problems. I sew a lot so staying in helps me get my orders out the door because the more I go out the more time I need to rest when I get back in.

I am bunning it up also  I am excited at the progress I will make... Before I cut my hair bunning got me from nearly shoulder length to just about brastrap length . Sometimes I look back at pictures from 2007, 2008 and some of 2009 and think wow I kept it real simple and look how healthy and long my hair was..:yep:

I plan to start bunning again to get to APL and then BSL. I'd also suggest placing your bun in different spots on your head (side bun, high bun etc.) so your hair doesn't get weak in one area.

to keep my mind off cutting I am going to bag tonight with deep conditioner and wash in the morning and plait it up and cover it up.

After I relaxed I can't seem to keep this goody clip in place, b4 it was slipping out but not as bad as now.

Do you have success using these and what do you do keep the hair in place? TIA.

So I am on the hunt on really figuring out bunning styles. I see a lot of bobby pins in my future. Please provide tips.

I don't go a night now without bagging my moisturized and sealed ends with my hair tied down with a silk scarf. Trying to avoid unnecessary set backs if possible.

at this point I don't use anything but a ponytail holder. I have not tried any of the fancy stuff.

I put honey and deep cond in my hair last night and this morning when I washed it out it feels so good I will see after it drys if my ends are still acting up. but for now I am happy.

well when I went to plait my hair up for the night my ends were so soft I loved it. I am so glad I stepped away from the cutting.

I also use the Goody spin pins for my buns. They're nice because I don't have to use a ponytail holder on them, so I don't worry as much about breakage at that spot. I'm waiting for my flexi8 order to come in so I can try some creative styles. I cut my hair back to full NL at the beginning of the year, and it's almost at APL again. I've been bunning the whole year long :yep:.

WOW your hair grew fast

Same style, just with and without the stick. Good Day's Hair Pins is holding both styles up. The stick in the second pick is just for decoration.

ETA: posted in the wrong thread but enjoy anyway. :spinning:

They look so nice, so it looks like you twist the hair around and under?

Ok, so I had to run and try your baggie bun style after checking out your pic tutorial in your Fokti, Divachyk. Thank you so much! I love how it came out. I think I found my staple bun!!!

Girls I have to tell you I am so so glad I did that honey and cond. My ends are still soft and so soft that my plaits don't stay in yet. but I would recommend anyone that is having trouble with their ends and think they need to cut try it first and see how it works for you before you cut.

so I just wanted to update you ladies. I have been wearing my hair in 3 flat twist and pin curling the ends and hold them down with a bobby pin. at night I have been taking the pins out and moisturize and twist it back up without the pins and tie it up with my silk scarf. I have my cousin coming today to place her dress order so I let my curls show today lol
