I am looking for a reconstructor, and I am looking at these :

Rusk Sensories Calm Guarana & Ginger Treatment

Sebastian Penetraitt Reconstructive Protein Treatment

ABBA Recoup Intensive Reconstructor

Sebastian Suedeluxe Cond Reconstructor

who has tried these? which one is better? thanks in advance..

Also, I would like to mention that these all are on sale at SalonSavings website

:love:I have tried & love Sebastian Penetraitt. It's a Great Reconstructor.

In fact, I am on my 3rd Tube. I try to keep this in my Stash and often use it as my Mid-Step after relaxing prior to neturalizing

Have not tried the others.:perplexed

how does it leave your hair after you use it? I am currently using Aphogee 2 step, and I find myself having to put alot of leave-in and moisturizer afterwards.

Very nice. It doesn't leave your Hair dry/dull/hard at all. However, I always use a Moisturizing Conditioner after every reconstructive or protein treatment. Either a DC'er or a Conditioning Rinse.

I find reconstructors to be some-what milder/gentler than doing a Hard-core Protein Treatment like a 2-Step or some of the other Hard-cores on the Market. I use some-sort of reconstructor weekly.:yep:

I use and Have Fallen in love with Sebastian Penetraitt Strengthing Conditioner (a Reconstructor) makes my hair feel Strong & and Soft and it smells Great!!!

I use the Rusk Sensories Calm and I love it. I purchased the small one from marshalls for 5.99 and I purchased the liter from TJ MAxx for 9.99. A little goes a long way.

It is a combo protein/moisture which my hair needs because i use a lye relaxer.

When my hair is completley air dried it feels so soft it is ridiculous. It does not give slip but thats okay with me. I dont like conditioners that are laden with cones that give slip.

I also use the Rusk sensories Full and I love that one as well.

I just purchased the Rusk sensories wellness reflect that I will be trying out this weekend.

The ones I have so far only needed to be left in for 5-7 mins while I showered, I rinsed in cool water and was good to go.

While my hair was soft with both the Rusk's that I used, I felt like the Rusk calm left my hair a bit softer than the rusk full.

I'm glad I found them because I am trying to simplify my routine and getting under the dryer gets on my nerves.

They are chock full of humectants so I dont know how well they would od in the fall and winter. I will see when that time comes. For now my hair is in HEAVEN!!!
