...Well, not really  BUT, my hair did cause my SO to get on my case in the hair products aisle in Target this past Saturday.

I love me some Target, and I just casually perused through the hair products aisle. I didn't INTEND on purchasing anything, but I've been wanting to try Tea Tree Oil, and Palmer's Hair Milk's ingredients looked :lick:, so I picked up both of the items. Then, I hear a whining sound in my ear!!!

SO: Babe, this is getting ridiculous--the shelf at home does not have anymore space for your products. You spend like $50 a week on things and I don't ever see you use any of them!

Me:  Listen, I don't hear you complaining about DD's hair or mine. You're always telling me about my progress and how great DD's hair looks. Now, if I didn't put any effort into my hair or DD's, I'm sure it would be an issue.

**REMIND YOU, this is in the AISLE!!!***:arguing:

SO: But, you have to stop buying all this stuff--that's all I'm saying. Use one thing and finish it.

Me:

Ladies, I'm a PJ to the MAX. I need to take a picture of all my products when I get home and post it. I HAD to try the Tea Tree Oil. It's like every time I come on this board, I'm reading rave reviews about a product, then I write it down to make sure I don't forget about it. Yesterday, was DD's wash day, and I wanted to mix the Tea Tree Oil with the Nature's Blessing that I use on her scalp, and I want to use it in my DC this weekend. I didn't purchase the Palmer's Hair Milk...SO made me feel guilty.

Anyway, just wanted to share!! HHG!

Try hard to finish products first unless you catch a super great deal like BOGO. I'm trying to tell myself. If it ain't broke don't fix it... if I really like the products I have and they are working great and then I have no need to buy new products. That's what I keep telling myself when I get the urge. I want to try Oyin products sooooo bad. Grrrrr...

Soror you have to buy your products when your SO is not around then hide them in your car and sneak them in the house when he's not looking. :look:

I'm trying to be with my hair like I am with my face. I figured out what my face needed back in 2006 and I'm very rarely tempted by skincare products now. Hair is different though .

What I need in the winter and what I need in the summer are two different animals. I'm getting to that point where I'm learning what I need and am slowly phasing other items out of my repertoire, but this is in part because I haven't needed to buy any hair care products for 18 months, and I'm still easily a year away from using up my stash :look:!

Oyin is next on my list! But, I'm going to hold out!

Hey Soror! My trunk is my hiding spot for new shoes/clothes; I may have to use it for hair products also!

I'm sorry... But why do I find this adorable? Lol that's like the cutest little fight ever. I dunno maybe I'm weird. Who cares? He'll get over your PJism.

i have found most of my staples, but they are not firm staples, so I still am tempted to try stuff. Shea Moisture is next on my list. Also, I'm trying to find things that I can get on the ground, because the gouging shipping is a turn off. Good luck, OP. I feel your pain.

OP the struggle the struggle! A few years ago I had so many products in the bathroom cabinet under the sink that the floor gave way and broke. I gave a ton of stuff away, only to buy more. Always wondering what THAT conditioner's gonna be like when I walk by it :( :)

Looka heah, my SO gave me grief too in the beginning.

AND THEN....as my hair took off ESPECIALLY when he saw how long and thick it was getting when I flat ironed it...he got quiet. Now when we go shopping he takes the cart, lets me run off to the hair aisle or he'll tell me go ahead, I know where you'll be lol!!

He said he learned to not fight it, smart man I got hahaha!!!!

THAT is exactly how I feel when I go to Target or the bss. I literally feel great after a purchase, and can't wait to get home and wash! :gorgeous:

Girl, he used to talk about me bad. Then he would just roll his eyes. Now, I'm trained to hide my stuff and sneak it in the house. Yup, I'm a grown woman playing hide-n-seek with my hair products.

I think that you may be on to something OP. My SO seems to be getting very touchy about the hair thing, he definitely thinks I am spending too much time researching products and documenting my progress. I think as long as you can show results from using the products, you are well on your way to winning that fight in the end. lol

He really thinks I'm investing too much time into my hair and our DD's hair. I have a journal for the both of us to review products, document growth/breakage, etc. I'll get the last laugh though...
