Purchased the Dry Remedy Shampoo, Conditioner and Brilliant serum. I liked the shampoo, but the conditioner and serum, i didnt like at all, it left my hair very dull no luster or shine at all and im really mad at myself because i purchased at an Aveda retailer at Queens Mall, and i dont live anywhere near there. I was visiting my daughter and we went to that mall. I want to return all the stuff but I live like 60 miles from there and the tolls would cost 23.00 bucks. I spent 80 bucks on this stuff. I got to think how to get my money back cause thats too much money to just let go.

Anyone else here used Aveda and liked or disliked?

The only Aveda product I tried was the Brilliant Conditioner. It has great ingredients. But it didn't really do anything special to my hair, no slip, and nothing special in terms of moisturizing.. It's not a bad product but definitely not worth the $20 bucks, or however much I paid for it :nono: I won't be repurchasing any Aveda products which is unfortunate, I really wanted to like this line :ohwell:

I like Aveda, but I don't use it that much anymore because they can be funny about returns.

Right now, I'm using Scalp Benefits on my son. It is too drying on my hair, but it keeps his scalp balanced.

I love Dry Remedy, but it became too pricey. Aveda products do last a long time.

You can take your items back to a different Aveda store...

I like the shampoo and intensive treatment from that line, not the conditioner or serum. Try exchanging it for something from the damage remedy line at a different store, just call first to confirm that you can exchange it there.

Dry Remedy is not as good as Damage Remedy imo, although I like the shampoo.

I wouldn't bother with any of their conditioners, I will always go for the intensive treatments.

Call customer service and give them your review. They may send you a check or a coupon for different products.

I received a sample of Dry Remedy shampoo, conditioner and treatment last year and thought that the products were just ok. I prefer the Damage Remedy intensive restructuring treatment (I have the shampoo and conditioner, but have yet to try) and from the Brilliant range I like the damage control spray and universal styling creme.

Personally, I think that silk elements megasilk moisturizing treatment is better than dry remedy and a lot cheaper.

I hope that you are able to get a refund or exchange.

I will buy the Brilliant Serum from you if you want to sell it. I love the damage remedy line. To me it is the best line.

Actually its the Brilliant Finishing Gloss, sorry for saying its serum, if thats not what you wanted because i gave the incorrect name i will understand. I am going to call the Aveda Corporate office to see if they will take it all back and give me a refund, if not i would be willing to sell if anyone is interested.

Another thing about the Dry remedy conditioner for me was there was no slip at all, actually had to detangle my hair even after sitting under the steamer. Needless to say i was very dissapointed.

I have used Aveda Dry Remedy Shampoo, Brilliant Anti-Humectant Pomade, and Brilliant Damage Control. I wasn't impressed with any of them, but I wasn't disappointed either.

I bought the shampoo with a gift certificate. I think I used a gift certificate to buy one of my Brilliant products also.

I would call them (on the receipt) and ask how to do a return?

The products simply did not work for you. It's just that simple. As expensive as it is, they should be more than willing to give you a refund.

Then I'd mail it right back to them, with a copy of the receipt!

I agree 100%, i have my receipt dated from this past friday, used the products and i was not satisfied. I am calling first thing tomorrow morning and Im curious to see how their customer service reps will handle this, and if they refuse to give a full refund I will definately let everyone here know.

Okay...I kinda hate to tell you to 'lie':look: but you could always also say you had an reaction to the products. :look:

Which is partially true tho'....your hair didn't respond/react well to them.

Yep. I agree, If there worth their 'salt' as a high-end company...they'll give you a full-refund no questions asked.:yep:

Since you are long-distance, they should be able to issue one of those RMA's.

Print it off, tape on a box and send that mess right back to them.

I can't wait for your follow-up post.

There is no reason to lie. Aveda's policy is to generally accept returns without a problem (unless you let years plus go by). Since you have the receipt there shouldn't be a problem. You can either exchange or return the product.

Check their website to see if there are any stores local to your home as you do NOT need to return the products to the original store. I regularly return or exchange products at many of the stores around the NYC area.

I happen to have great results from Aveda products. Just today I used the Dry Remedy Moisturizing Treatment masque. I was happy with the end results, but the smell is a little off-putting (my only complaint). I regularly use their Be Curly Style-Prep, Brilliant Universal Creme and other styling products.

I tried Aveda products years ago when i was relaxed and did not like any of them. I remember using a shampoo and a leave in from the Sap Moss Line (I think thats discontinued now) and also the Damage Remedy conditioner. all of it did nothing for my hair. I also had the humectant pomade and that didn't do anything for me either.

I would like to try some of their products as a natural now. I need LOTS of moisture in my conditioners and I just don't think theirs can do that for me. I am more interested in trying some of their styling products to aid in straight styles. I have been eyeballing the Phomollient styling foam and the Brilliant Universal Styling creme.

How did you pay for the items? American Express has return protection and purchase protection so if you're dissatisfied with a purchase you can call and get your money back.

If you don't have an Amex card, perhaps you can call Aveda customer service and see how they can help you. Just let them know you weren't pleased with the products' performance.

I paid with my Visa Debit card. I will definately be calling customer service first thing in the morning, according to their website they have a return policy if you purchase from the web and if you purchase from a store then you are to call their corporate office. Lets see if they will let me return the items, and if they are a reputable company.

Well ladies, i had my boxing gloves ready to do battle with Aveda this morning and im pleased to say they were excellent, they didn't give me a problem at all and they are mailing me a prepaid label so i don't pay to ship items back. Now that's customer service.

Glad to hear. They are truly one of the few companies I shop regularly because of the fact that they train their staff to provide excellent customer service. It doesn't hurt that their return policy is awesome.

why not go to their site and look for retail locations. I know they are in many JC penny's and they will take the product back and give you a refund with no hassle.

From the brilliant line ( as I consider that to be a clarifying line, not moisture ) I only use the shampoo. I really like that for clarifying. There's other Aveda stuff in different lines that work for me and what I am looking for much better :D

Ohhh I just saw this:
