I reached bra strap length with a relaxer. I decided to transition approximately 12-15 months, I can't remember the exact length. I cut the relaxer off my self. But I had extreme heat damage in the crown. The entire front would not curl at all. It was flat and frizzy.

I had the stylist cut all the hair down to the undamaged hair and here are the results. This was a month ago....

Thank you Ladies! I have to thank Cindy at Sage Naturalceuticals for assisting with helping me select products to help my curls pop! Without the right products, I have a little frizz ball:lol:

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!

Do you mind sharing the products she suggested?

The BC looks really good!! Your hair is very pretty! :yep:

The pre BC pics looks like it was already natural before you had it cut. Am I correct in understanding that you BC'd to get rid of damaged ends rather than relaxed ones? The front area didn't look like it was damaged. A lot of naturals, myself included have a weird sort of wavy texture there that doesn't really hold a curl, and is often more frizzy than the rest of the hair.

I realize you already cut it off, I just wanted to mention this in case it grows back the same way.

Love it. Sorry to hear about the damage but the after look seems like it fits you. You are rocking that short style

The first pic is from my first Big chop. I did it myself. The pic below is my relaxed length. You are right about the front, it is very loose waves, no curl. But it wouldn't even wave, it just hung straight and frizzy. I know to be extra careful with heat on that portion...
