I was packing for my trip to the Bahamas (Yay), when I noticed that I've packed way more hair products and tools, than clothes:lachen::lachen::lachen:

Am I the only one?:ohwell:

I havent gone on vacation yet but i have my list and it shows so much more hair products than clothes thats for sure..

yup: at least two different conditioners (protein and moisture), shampoo, leave-in, oils wraps, combs, etc. etc. etc.

a girls gotta look good!:yep:

I'm guilty...we're going back to Hawaii in May and I'm already making a list of what I need to take:lachen:. I know we're going to relax and have fun, and here I am thinking that I won't be able to do my regular routine for a week. That's just sad:sad:.

No way! Last time I went on vacation (Aruba!), I took a small travel size (2oz) bottle of conditioner and some hair clips/flowers.

It depends on how long I will be gone and what I plan on doing during my trip. Typically no...but it has happened before. :look:

No way, especially if I'm going to a tropical country or island. I scuba dive, snorkle, swim and do all types of sports and I wouldn't want to worry about my hair.

Naw- last time I went on vacation I wore a sew-in and didn't worry about my hair at all. Also if I wore it loose I would only need a few items

No way, I am on the KISS regime. I can't stick with programs requiring a lot of time or products anymore not even at home. hell no way I am going to spend my vacay spending time on my hair instead of enjoying the sights.

Nope. All I need is conditioner and a shower comb if I'm going somewhere warm or a wig if I'm going somewhere cool. A scarf goes with me everywhere.

I've been thinking about this and the essentials that I'll need. I can't be carrying full sizes, I'll have to get some travel sizes but at the moment I'm taking:-

Poo
Deep conditioner (probably two different ones)
Leave in
Moisturiser
Oil
Hair spray

Now this isn't a problem for me to carry. Where it gets insane is that I intend to carry my rollers and portable hood dryer so I can still do my roller sets! My mum is going to think I'm crazy! My hand luggage is basically going to consist of all hair, body and beauty products!

I'll still have way more clothes though. I'll take at least two outfits per day.

Usually I have my hair style planned out in advance and pack based on needed. For instance next week we are heading to Nick Studios Resort and I anticipate on getting slimed..eww and spending a large amount of time in the water with my son. I will only take 1-2 bottles of conditioner, flexi rods, and silk crunchies and/or banana clips.

By the way, why not try new products when you reach your destination? It'll be exciting and you might find an ultimate favourite that you can buy bulk of to take back home. Yeah, you can bring 1 or 2 staples as an emergency back up but I just don't see the need to carry more hair products than clothing to somewhere you're going temporarily.

Vacation is my time to relax and have fun, so I definitely have more clothes. I do smaller twists so that I won't have to fuss over my hair while I am away.

I went away for the weekend about 2 weeks ago I packed two conditioner, coconut oil and my kinky curly but I forgot to pack socks... That's when u know u have a problem lol

On my last trip home to MD, I had MORE hair products than clothing...including a portable hair dryer and rollers. So I can't talk nothing about others doing the same thing.

actually no! Im packing for our spring break trip now, and I only have Mixed Chicks shampoo, 2 bottles of conditioner, my Oyin Dew moisturizer, and I poured some coconut oil in a travel container and thats it. I don't think I have anything in this world that would outnumber my clothes and shoes travel bags. :look:

Nope - I look forward to improvising with whatever I can find when I get to my destination and I don't use heat tools on the road so I don't pack them. This is how I know e.g., that hotel pantene is better than the stuff they sell at walmart. Travelling for me means getting out of everyday mundanities and away from the mode where I do my hair coz I'm bored.

No. unless I'm going specifically to shop shop shop and have to leave room in my suitcases for newly bought items.

Depends on how long ill be gone.
Summer trips /monthly
i bring 2con, 2poo, 2 leaveins, moisture mix, oil
Week trips
1con, moisture mix, oil
1-2weeks
1poo, 1 con, moisture mix, oil

It depends on where I'm going and what I'm doing. If I'm going somewhere warm, I bring shampoo, conditioner and gel mostly because I'm wearing my hair curly. If its somewhere cold, I'm probably wear my hair straight, so I'll bring just a scarf, some jojoba oil and maybe a flat iron.
