Anyone ever suspected some iiiish is up with Folica:look::look:

Anyone ever ordered tools (flat irons etc.) or know of this company to sell fake merchandise?

or basically replica's of the real deal?

I love folica.com...their prices are excellent, and they ship crazy fast.
Everything I've ever gotten from them has worked great, and seems to be authentic.

Why would you suspect them?

someone personally told me of a found replica (a salon owner)

but the price of some of the flat irons are much lower than found any place else

but i just googled it a second ago and already found fraudulent claims ...(must read further tho')

I haven't ordered any high end tools from them. But what I have ordered came fast and works great.

I have ordered from them before and never had any problems (A Sedu Flatiron. When I went to the Sedu official site they had it listed on their site that they were in affiliation with Folica to sell their merchandise. So that made me feel better, along with ladies on here co-signing, about ordering from them).

I have never seen any negative post about Folica on here or orders being late or being fake/faulty merchandise.

I mean all online stores (Sally's Beauty Supply, BeautyChoice, Amazon, etc) are gonna have complaints or unhappy consumers. But I think Folica is one of the most legit online "hair stores" around. I think more than half of the active members on this board have bought something from them.

I have seen a lot of beef about Folica over the past few years...The Chi I ordered from them got messed up in less than a year, and I thought that was strange...so I looked up the company before I ordered a new iron and found all this stuff online. Also, apparently they aren't an authorized reseller of some of the brands they carry, so if you buy it from them it will void the warranty (this isn't really shady though, happens all the time). They also had some iffy prices/deals on ghd irons a few years ago...so I ended up getting my new iron from Ulta instead.

But...do I know if they are actually shady? Not sure...I did it just to be safe.

Here's a thread on ghd - http://forum.purseblog.com/the-beauty-bar/beware-folica-com-sells-fake-ghd-402873.html

It is legit. I order from them all the time. I would say for the last 3 years. They have nice deals. I purchased my Chi during a sale for $65. I got my Babyliss blowdryer for an awesome price too. Their products are authentic as well. Def a good site.

I ordered a salon quality blow dryer from them about a month ago and received it in less than 3 days. It works great and i'm pleased with my purchase.

My experience was great so i can't speak on any legitimate issues others might have had:perplexed

No problems. Ordered a Sedu, and multiple other products. Never had a problem, shipping always fast.

I love Folica, I orderd a Solia flat iron and a Hot Tools blowdryer. They work great and like everyone else said fast shipping.

FHI also has them listed as an authorized dealer.

I'm not sure if they still do this, but some years ago (when I was in college and still living in the dorms, so between '03 and '05) they paid people to write positive reviews on items they bought. I was offered $5 and a coupon if I wrote a positive review on a flat iron I purchased. I think it was a Solia. The iron wound up breaking. Then the replacement I bought broke as well (that one was a Sedu). I didn't really think that was Folica's fault as I always have bad luck with mechanical items. What deterred me more was the offer of money for a positive review.

yeah:yep: i've written reviews for companies for free items as well in college:look:
didn't even understand the impact:lachen: but yes that's quite common for many larger companies (at least it use to be)

Folica is the real deal and is one of the best, most reputable hair product sites to buy from. The brands are all authentic.

I order from them and once returned an expensive blow dryer with no hassle.

Sometimes products are just defective from the manufacturer. Some people lie out of anger, because they can't get a refund because they waited to long past the return time. There's a lot of reasons why people complain. I think Folica.com is legit.

I ordered a solia from them. They had excellent shipping and handling which was free and i go 20 dollars off my order. The flat iron works well but my friend now has it she uses it everyday and everything is okay. Bought it in October and she has had it since January and is in love with it no problems so far.

I order everything from folica. I believe I returned something once with no issue either. They are one of the #1 hair retailers for a reason I think. All companies have issues so nothing I've heard or seen shoots any red flags.

I order all my hair tools from Folica.com! The latest was my Sedu flat iron which was about a year ago and works perfect. A lot of companies will void warranties if their items aren't purchased from certain retailers, not just Folica. This can go for places like Target even who sell Chi, Redken and other high end lines. Not all companies will be 'Authorized" sellers but thats something you have to check with each individual item. Personally, I trust Folica because I have years of experience with them and nothing has ever been defective. Plus the super fast shipping and low prices are a huge plus!! :-)

No Problems. I ordered a FHI Runway from them, then decided to return it. I even waited until past the 30 day due date and they took it back and credited my Account.

I was afraid since it was past 30 days, they would refuse to refund my money.

So, I felt it was a good customer service experience.

I went to Sedu's website to order a flat iron and they referred me to Folica.
I ended up getting the 1.5 inch flat iron for about $90 a few days before Christmas because they were having a 3-day sale. I got it quick and I love it. Not sure you can make a fake version of the Sedu without affecting the quality and performance. It's like no other...

Definitely legit. In fact it's one of the most legit online hair products suppliers you can order from. When I first started lurking I heard that they had problems with their products breaking within a year of purchase, but nothing major like fraud, scamming, or selling fake products.

I bought hair supplies and my Sedu Revolution from them. They were very fast with shipping and I've been a satisfied customer for 2 years now :yep:

I bought a Sedu flat iron with a free mini one over a year ago which btw, is still going strong . I have no complaints though I did do my research as I refuse to pay ridiculous money for some products when there are good comparable ones for lower prices if you dig hard enough, lol. I just ordered a few things today from them so I can get the mini curler,
& free shipping lol.
