Can someone please explain the hype behind these? :look:

Are they better than wide tooth combs?

I know, right? Ateya was the new Shima. Kimmay was the new Ateya. Tangle Teezers are now the new Kimmay. I wonder if I should buy one now. :look:
are u relaxed? i know in that first thread tons of relaxed heads responded

try it... don't like it... return it:look:

didn't even know u could do that, but i see that several people in the original 500 response thread have returned one

i say just try it...... 99% seem to love it

Yeah I'm relaxed. Whoa I didn't know you could return combs/brushes/whatever it is considered. Washing mine before I use it if I decide to buy one... :look: Do you know the price?

 Girl, you can return anything you spend your money on.

Okay so where can I get it and how much? Is it better than a wide tooth comb? My friends laugh when I have a big ol' comb in my bag and ask me if it's a comb or a killing device. :look:

Sally's for $10 in my area and I LOVE it. This is coming from a certified tangler but no more with the TT. :yep:

Yes far better. You have to try it to comprehend its greatness. Promise. Words can't even capture the essence of the usefulness. Im laying it on thick, huh?

I use a comb for basic combing but TT all the way for detangling.

How is it with new growth?
Excellent! Smooths it wonderfully. Doesn't damage/break line of demarcation. I use mine on dry, moisturized hair. I am not a fan of wet detangling. Removes shed hairs like a charm.

Your friends laugh at you for having a wide tooth comb? Wow...most of my friends have wide tooth combs. Are these black friends you're talking about? :look:

Anyway, Ill be waiting for responses from other people too  I'm still considering buying one for my transitioning hair.

All my friends laugh but the non-black ones look at me like, "Why do you have this big contraption? :perplexed" The black friends look at me like, "Ooooh I see you got your wide tooth comb attached to your hip."

Be careful with them on your relaxed hair, some folks maybe fine with it, others maybe not. It is great for smoothing down my hair for my bun, but I'm hesitant to detangle with it though. Perhaps test it on damp, not wet hair, loaded with conditioner.

Ah now I'm hesitant. I think I'll just keep my eye on it then for now. :look: Hopefully more reviews come in.

Aireen you might want to read the original thread as many provided full accounts of how it works for them.

I use it on both dry and wet hair. My hair detangles easier with wet/damp hair, but when I compared the amount of hair "loss" with wide tooth comb vs TT, it was TT hands down. Countable hairs vs a small ball. I also use it with conditioners to make sure my product reaches from root to tip, so I can get the most of my product.

Also, go to TT's website, as the DIRECTIONS are available on how to use it.

Thanks for the info! I will follow through with the advice! :yep:

Here is the link to one of the previous threads

http://www.longhaircareforum.com/hair-care-tips-product-review-discussion/514691-*tangle-teezer*-truth.html

It had over 400 posts so there are plenty of reviews in there. This was the most extensive thread, but there are additional threads.

My estimate is that 80% like it, 10% are can take it or leave it, 10% didn't like it. Just my estimate of reading several threads.

I am not relaxed but 4a/4b natural and it is the only hair product I have ever raved about.

Thank you! I'll get to reading this thread!

I'm transitioning and I love it. Like others said, try it. If you don't like it, give it to me - er, return it.

 Thanks, I like that it works for transitioning hair since I want to use it for when I stretch.
