It's boring but after a year or so I've come to using just warm water, box of Jamila henna, tablespoon of hibiscus powder, splash of ACV and some cheapie conditioner.
Seraphina, would this recipe make your hair red? I'm looking to dye mine red, but am looking for the right recipe.
Pictures?
Would be kinda nice to see the outcome of each recipe...
I need to do this... off to an indian store to cop some hennaMine is simple:
Henna
black coffee
paprika
indigo
This covers my grey very well gives a dark brown color inside and in direct light you can see the red. In my opinion it is very rich and shiney and that is what I love.
Jamila Henna
Distilled room temp water (enough to turn henna into a yogurt consistency)
1/2 hand squeezed lemon
Within the hour, I can see the dye release with this mix (but I still let it sit @ least 8 hours before use). If I don't use indigo, it turns my greys a VERY BRIGHT orangey red that matures to a nice dark auburn. My avatar is my hair a week or so after henna/indigo.
