Braids (extensions) & relaxed hair

Hi ladies, I would like to ask your advice. I have suffered a lot of breakage recently and would like to rest my hair in cornrow extension braids. For those relaxed heads that have done this please can you let me know your regi & what type of hair you use? Any advice would be appreciated.
