The red hair is like a brillo pad. I wanted to recondition it, but I don't want to manipulate it too much and cause more breakage. I was gonna do a protein treatment and then a dc.

It's hard to really see the damage it's mostly in the way the hair feels. Hard and crunchy. The area where I see the most damage is the edges. Some parts are only a half an inch long. I think I see a thin/bald spot. I can still wear the hair in a ponytail or down without being able to tell. I guess I can grow it back with no one but close friends knowing about this disaster.

I did learn something about how much my hair can take. This incident will make me more cautious in the future, but I will continue to experiment and have fun with color. On a good note my longest layer in the back is a half an inch from wl. My hair grows uneven so the rest is approximately a inch or an inch and a half. I will post when I'm full wl. Pics. I like this color. The relaxer seemed to have lifted it. You can see the red part is thin. I tried to resize the pics. Sorry they so big.

I'm glad that you just tested it out with those streaks in the front because the rest of your hair just looks beautiful.

Imma need you to buy a whole bunch of Blonde human hurr clip in pieces. Dye them all the colors of the rainbow. And when you feel like being a "mood ring" clip dem bad boys in!!! LOL

But from looking at your pics it's not that bad! Not at all really! It will grow back! Just let her (your hair) breath for a while, K?

I'm sorry that happen to you OP. How soon was it in between the color and relaxer? Also do you check the dates on the products you use?

BTW, that's a really nice color. I would suggest keeping your hair moisturized and not letting it get dry. You have a beautiful head of hair!

Why didn't I think of that. That would be perfect. I always wanted pink streaks, lol. Imma give her a break. She knows I love her, lol.

That's actually a fantastic idea.
Glad you're hair didn't turn out too bad.

Off Topic, but can we see the rest of your lushiousness? (Full head shots, back shots)
I do think that keeping that part of your hair moisturized and low mani., will help. Luckily, the rest of your hair looks really healthy and pretty.

So sorry this happened to you :( I've always been a huge fan of your hair, and I think it still looks great. Congrats on making WL

It could have been a lot much worse. I can't tell your hair is damaged other than that small patch which I'm sure is even smaller in person - and you can always use colored clip ins in the future.

It's a good thing you only dyed the front because eventually you can cut it into a bang. Your hair is beautiful and I'm glad you didn't ruin your whole head.

Your hair is beautiful! Just do what you did to get that lovely hair to the thin spots and you will be back to normal. when in doubt..put some castor oil on the spot..and do your thing.

Ok first of all I want to say I hate you because you have such beautiful hair and skin girl!!!!! As far as that spot goes....yeah just baby it for a while, especially with some castor oil. Im doing that now with my little trouble spot. It will back in tip-top shape in no time!
