What if you just want YOUR hair done and not a weave?

Am I still going to have to battle it out the next time she opens up her books?

How do these things work?

Girl, I think it's one of those shot in the dark things lol. I *tried* to get a December appt with her a few months ago for just a blowout and flat iron, but I think she was only doing weaves at the time. If I remember correctly, I put my name on the "waiting list", but I don't have much hope of ever being called lol.

No shade toward her at all....I guess when you're that good everybody wants you lol.

Yep

I've been on her mailing list for like 2 years now. Every time the signup for new appointments opens up, it gets filled in the first 10 minutes. I've given up all hopes of a reniece weave. ESPECIALLY because it's so pricey.

I respect her hustle, but MAN! I'll just stick to wigs when I have a need for a protective style.

So I guess I will have to stalk her page for the feb book opening smh

I just want someone I can trust to trim my hair and touch me up every 4 months...

The last time I was there, I believe she told me she was only accepting clients doing healthy hair make overs with weaves and natural clients. Don't quote me on that though. I have been a client since 2007.

She is currently training another stylist and I believe she is working on training some additional stylists in the future.

It IS hard to get an appointment. I have been a client for 4 years an waited awhile, but back then it took several months. I feel blessed I only waited about 5 months. Cus now it's impossible.

She is that good though and very well worth the wait.

hopefully her protege is soon open for appointments

by the time reniece is open my hair will be WL, lol

I'm still stalking her website though :giggle:

Ive been on her waiting list for about 2 years as well (Thankfully Ive found another stylist) she does an awesome job but Im feeling like my chances of winning the lotto might be better than my chances of getting an appointment. She has per her site mentioned that she will be taking new clients who just want their natural hair done but I believe booking will still be the same as previous.

Who did u find to do your hair? I'm looking for someone trustworthy in the dmv area. The last person that did my hair did a terrible job and I ended up with nl hair...

I have one girl that does it in Jessup, MD but she always makes me feel like crap about my hair :nono: plus she charges so darn much for the basics...

I'm getting a touch up on Saturday and a trim if needed and if I like her, I will let you know.

Why would she do that?? then she wouldn't make as much money :drunk:

She will still make money - People would not stop going to her - she will maintain her local clientele - however, she will make extra money by teaching her skills to others in different areas of the U.S. This would allow for those who cannot get to VA for whatever reason to have their hair done by someone trained by Reniece in their area and not be subjected to a 2-3 year waiting list...
