Acv Rinse after my DC. Finally got the recipe right (1 tbs in 8 oz of water). My hair feels great afterwards and has been holding moisture well!

Talijhd Waajid (sp?) Body mistifier- this stuff is one of my new loves lol. Thanks MsLala! Its a 2 in 1 cuz it moisturizes my 4b strands great and its contains ceramides- one of my old loves lol. I highly recommend it.

MISSES
Elasta QP Mango Moisturizer- was just "ok" on my hair, but made my 10 yo DD's 3c/4a hair a dry tangled mess. She's protein-sensitive, so maybe it contains them and I missed it? Idk, but we'll pass.

Hit
Shea Moisture Thickening Shampoo(big big hit. will be trying the conditioner as well)
Jane Carter Conditioner (but hate the scent)
Kimmaytube Leave In (just with less oil for my relaxed hair)

Miss
Jane Carter Leave In (I really wanted to love this but it doesn't love me)

Continued Hits
Bee Mine Balanced Cream Moisturizer

Kinky Curly is a hit: the secret is to use only about a quarter sized amount. The same with Fantasia Heat protectant, a teeny amount on each section.

Hit: Aveda Brilliant Humectant Pomade and Organic Root Stimulator Edge Control when I flat iron. Makes it last for at least a week (natural, 3C/4A fine curly hair).

Changed my misses to hits by learning when and how to use them: that's all the Carol's Daughter's products.

HIT: Shea Moisture Yucca Thickening Shampoo. Left my hair really clean and moisturized.

MISS: LeKair cholsterol, left my hair feeling thin and shedding. :nono:

Huge hit: Crisco :look: Why have I slept on this????!!! This stuff is the truth . Excellent sealer after a CO wash.

HITS
Tangle Teezer--I can finally stop my 4 step detangling process :woot:

Huetiful Steamer--Easy to put together, puts out some serious steam, thinking of getting the face attachment, love being able to take it apart and put it away

Chicoro's Pre Poo--Moisture city. I use aloe vera juice and castor oil. Then I use vatika frosting.

Natural Jenesis Deep Moisturizing Conditioner--My hair was so soft. I used it for cowashing.

Natural Jenesis Hair Glosser--Get a lot of shine and it's great as a sealant too.

Natural Jenesis Moo La Creme--I used this as a moisturizer on wet hair and as a detangler. Yeah it is great at both but I think I will keep it as a detangler. I put this on my hair then put a plastic cap on for an hour. In some areas it had completely soaked in my hair but it was still easy to detangle.

This is another one of my fave threads & I forgot all about it! I lives for product reviews and purchases lol!
I have been revisiting a lot of products lately and determining what gives my hair great results so here is where we stand right now -

Hits:
SSI Avocado condish (I use it as a DC)
HV Vatika Frosting (I have loved this forever but was on the fence about repurchasing, now I definitely will be repurchasing)
Yes to Carrots Pampering condish
Yes to Carrots Shampoo
Yes to Tomatoes Condish (I luv the Yes to Line)
Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding
Miss Jessie's Baby Buttercream
Qhemet OHHB
Qhemet BRBC
Qhemet AOHC
Tangle Teezer

The above product lines will definitely be my 2011 staples!

Fails:
Nature's Gate Aloe Vera condish (loved when I was transitioning, drys my hair out, I dumped it)
MyHoneyChild Type 4 hair cream (takes too long to absorb into hair to make soft, Im talking days not hours, plus it stinks, so Im considering dumping it)
Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle (Miracle for who? My hair felt terrible, its really nothing but water and chemicals, no good ingredients in it at all & I knew that before I bought it, just had to see what all the hype was about...dumped it with the quickness)

Alter-Ego Garlic Shampoo, not has harsh as Nutrine plus better ingredients

MISS
Joico Thermal Protector-made hair hard as a rock. :nono:

I'm still getting used to my natural hair but I am finding some staples!! :D

HITS:

Castor Oil(for oil rinsing and sealing for this winter)
Miss Jessie's Baby Buttercreme(great for twist outs!)
Miss Jessie's Rapid Recovery(gave my hair a lot of moisture, very pricey though)
Silk Elements Mega Silk DC( loving the olive oil version! a staple for sure!)
Tressemme Flawless Curls conditioner (gives my hair lots of slip and great for detangling)
Creme of Nature Porosity Control Conditioning Treatment (A-MAZING!)

MISS:

Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair butter (makes my hair feel grainy)
Creme of Nature's Sunflower and Coconut conditioning shampoo( Boo-Boo!! my hair still feels coated with this nonsense:nono:)

There are still some products in hair care limbo for me so i'm still trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. :ohwell:

ShamWow (removes amazing amount of water from my hair and doesn't pull)

Olive Oil - cooking spray can - (applied to box braids, much easier than any other method)

Taliah Waajid Lock It Up - Gave me fantastic 2 stranded twists with twists out for 2 weeks.

Miss
KKCC - this has always been a miss for me but trying to use it up.

Hits:
AO HSR - the smell is.....different, but this is great for moisture
Magic Star jumbo rake - love this comb even more than my Ouidad detangler

Continued hits:
Joico Moisture Recovery Treatment Balm
Kimmaytube leave in

Miss:
CON Rosemary leave in conditioner - always leaves my hair feeling weird, almost nasty

HITS
Oyin's Hair Dew--I use this on wet hair. I only need a dime size amount and I am good to go.

Koils By Nature Nourishing Hair & Body Butter--I  this stuff. The consistency, the moisture, the smell. I got it in the Sweet Almond Joy scent. I use this on dry hair.

Natural Jenesis Curl Cleanser--There is something in it that's skrong like clean out your sinuses skrong. I don't care. I like this stuff. I am on to something. It seems I get better coil definition with a "curl cleanser" vs just a regular old conditioner.

Claudie's Hair Reconstructor--This is another one that really defines my coils. Especially if I follow up with a moisturizing conditioner which I don't always do.

MISSES
Koils by Nature Shealoe Leave In Conditioner--It does nothing for my hair. It just sits there.

ITS ALRIGHT
Evolve Conditioning Caps--Those silver ones that are supposed to heat up using your body temperature. Yeah um I will stick with the clear ones. They're cheaper and do the same thing.

Hits:

Conditioning my wig with Silicon Mix. Turned a bird's nest into soft curls. (human hair wig)

Avocado as a hair conditioner. It hasn't failed me yet. Probably not good if you have fine hair though.

Misses:

Silicon Mix on my hair. My hair seemed drier after I used this. Won't be using it again on my own hair. The smell of this product is too strong as well, so I didn't leave it on my hair for more than a 5 minutes.

Paul Mitchell-The Detangler. Not that it didn't work, but it doesn't do anything more than a $1 conditioner can do.

ETA another hit.
