Hey Ladies, I bought the curly meringue during the bogo. I have used it and so far I have not been wowed, I dont know maybe I am not using it right. I have tried on dry hair for braid and twist out and on wet hair for braidout, but nothing special.
I like the smell, but thats not enough to sell me on this product. It is so sticky and too dang expensive to not be a wow product. It leaves my hair soft after the twist/braidout, but later on my hair looks all kinds of weird and dry. It also seems to be a little oily, but maybe that because of my heavy handedness.

How do you ladies use this? For those who like it especially.

Thanks

my hair is relaxed, but I love it for braidouts on wet hair. I use it sparingly because it can be a little drying.

I dilute it by using one (plastic) spoonful of the Meringue w/ 3 spoonfuls of Aloe Vera Gel, and 1 teaspoon of One and Only Argan Oil

I use it for my dry braid and twist outs, its one of my fav products....

I tried mixing it with castor oil and Aloe Vera Juice, it was less sticky. Maybe I will try using Aloe Vera gel and see if that helps.

Y'all should try the samples first.

I really was not happy with this product at all.

I cant get this stuff to work for me. My hair just doesnt feel great when I use it so, I am done with it.

The price scared me away when I saw it at targets. It was 58 bucks for the 32oz! Yeesh!

I think you're thinking of the baby buttercreme which is $58 for the 16 oz. Curly Meringue is $38.00 for the 16 oz. I re-purchased the smaller sizes during the BOGO sale.

I LOVE the Curly Meringue and use it on dripping wet hair for a twist out. It weighs my hair down just enough to give me the length I want for my twist out look. I had trial and error on the amount I use but finally got to where it is just right. I do hate the prices so when I run out of product before another BOGO sale is in affect, that is the time I am trying out different products. Then I just re-stock on the next sale.

Miss Jessie's is the only line that you have to adjust the technique for your hair texture. I like the line...but it's trial and error. It's not for the faint at heart and not for newbies (IMO). When I first used it, I was a little heavy-handed. Then I learned that a little goes a long way.

I'm sooo ready to toss out my CM, first time re-visiting CM in about a year(I'm on a use it up challenge) I attempted to do a braid-out ponytail, It looked nice but when you touched it, it felt dry and brittle, like protein overload.
So I then saw this post, bought some aloe vera gel and combined the two with oil to seal in the moisture, no bueno. It looks about the same if not worse.

So ladies chime in again, one more time. How can I get the best use of CM?? I think I'm gonna wash and start over again tonight....suggestions please??

I'm relaxed (2wks post) MBL...
