Any relaxer suggestion

When I was relaxed I used Organic Root Stimulator No-Lye relaxer and it straightened my hair very nicely.

What relaxer(s) have you tried in the past?

The thing that I have found since being a member here is that how a relaxer processes is soooooo variable from one head to the next. From the archives I have learned that some people that use Affirm will have bone straight hair, but yet when I used it completely underprocessed me time after time. I really believe that body chemistry has something to do with it as well.

I said all that to say- that if you are open to no lye- Cream of Nature Argan oil Relaxer, made my new growth straighter than any lye relaxer I have tried in the past 3 years. This relaxer performed beautifully. I am so happy because my airdried hair is so much better now. Smoother, less tangles, etc. The only problem is that my NG is straight while my Affirm ends are crinkly.

Good luck OP- let us know what you end up trying.

A beautician used vitale before and that made my hair very straight (she used heat to straighten it afterwards also). I didn't like it because it came out too straight.

I just relaxed yesterday with ORS. I used the half/half method and got bone straight results. I really didn't want bone straight new growth. The difference was relaxing one side at a time to allow the side I was working on to process fully.

Are you self-relaxing?

I've used ORS no lye and the Doo Gro relaxer and i must say i wasn't satisfied with either of the results. I don't know if it's because i usually mix some CHI silk infusion into my relaxers (i'm a self relaxer so i do this to buy me some time as i don't like the half/half method). I'm now on the hunt for a new relaxer

Bumping this up for more responses :)

I can tell you what NOT to use and tht would b Mizani Butter Blends that stuff is the devil for almost everyone who uses it. I like Dudley's relaxer though

Wow....I am the opposite of you. My hair liked butterblends and can't stand Dudley.

I have been using:

Nairobi
Paul Mitchell
Elasta QP extra body
Elasta QP soy Oyl lye

Nairobi and Paul Mtchell are way more expensive and harder to get than Elasta QP products.

I co-sign on the Linange. I've been using it for about a year now and have a different head of hair. It's thicker and silkier but not bone straight.
