I've never heard of it. Sounds interesting though. Where did you get yours? Is there a website or link to look at the ingredients or see any reviews?

Wow, what an awesome site. I tried to order the lotion and shea & coffee condish, but there seems to be a problem with the site. I'll keep trying, the lotion sounds great!!

I haven't tried this lotion, but I recently purchased the Alaffia Henna/Shea Moisturizing Conditioner and it was Awesome! I used it as a deep conditioner under my steamer, and my hair was shinier and had the most curls I've seen since going natural. I can't believe I was sleeping on this line of products. I purchased at WHOLE FOODS.

I recently started using this lotion in my hair too and I love it! It's been great for my dry, 4b hair. Leaves my former favourite Giovanni Direct in the dust IMHO. Unfortunately, I will only be able to buy it on sale because in Canada the Alaffia is $19.99 compared to the GDLI at $9.99. Grrrr!

People, the whole line is amazing! They sell a ton of their products at whole foods.
I purchased also the "Beatiful Curls: Shea Butter Curl Activating Cream for Curly to Kinky Hair" and it has left my hair very soft. I also bought the shampoo: "Beautiful Curls: Shea Butter Curl Enhancing Shampoo" and it is amazing!
The ingredients for this shampoo is: Chamomile Extract, yarrow Extract, Saponified Shea Butter, Virgin Coconut Oil, Decyl Polyglucose, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Magnesium Sulfate, Choline Chloride, Coconut Oil, Apricot Fruit Extract, and Ylang Ylang Flower Extract
the shampoo claims to be sulfate-free, although this makes me a bit confused with the "magnesium sulfate" in the ingredients. Nonetheless, it has made my hair very soft and moisturized.
The only complaint I have about some of the products is the strong lingering smell. Don't get me wrong, they smell really good, but you know how some perfumes, although they smell nice, kind of get irritating after smelling it for 8 hours? It's kind of like that.

Oh my goodness 
, I used the neem/shea poo and shea/henna conditoner tonight and my new growth just melted (I am 10 weeks post). I am really impressed with this product line. I'll probably make a trip to Whole Foods tomorrow and pick up some of the other poo's and condishes; the wonderful smell is an added bonus.

We are writing to take the opportunity to share the highlights of Olowo-n’djo and Rose’s past three weeks, spent with our cooperative in Togo, West Africa. Before leaving for Togo, they imagined that this trip would present the opportunity to have some days to rest since Olowo-n’djo spent a great deal of time in 2010 on the road. However, it was quickly realized that much work was needed and long hours were ahead. These hours were well spent and worthwhile, though, as this trip was a vivid reminder of why we here at Alaffia have committed the past seven years to the empowerment of people in Togo. Most importantly it gave us courage to continue to do so. Furthermore, during this trip, Olowo-n’djo and Rose were able to touch on new and ongoing projects and objectives.
Over the next week or more we will be sharing parts of Olowo-n’djo and Rose’s journey through Togo and the goals that they achieved. Today we will touch on the new additions to the Alaffia family in Togo!
Due to the positive sales last year, we were able to bring in an additional fifteen members to our cooperative, of whom ten are young women - promising longevity to the Alaffia company. Because of the extended family structure in Togo, this means that more than sixty individuals will be depending on the incomes of these newest additions. Our hope is to bring another 30 women to the cooperative before the end of the year - in hopes of touching the lives of even more of the community in Togo.
