Where can I locate some good hair pins that don't chip or fade? All the ones I have purchased from the BSS are fading and leaving black shavings in my hair.

I would try another brand - my current hair pins don't do that (don't remember the brand, sorry), but others have. I have also heard good things about Amish hair pins, but they are not black (stainless steel).

I get mine from my local bss. Hi!! check your pm's :-)

Thank you, I will keep trying until I find some good ones.

You may want to try these: Good Hair Days - Good Hair Days Magic-Grip Hairpins

They come in brown and clear. They are plastic and they do not peel. They are great. :yep:
I have the good days hair pins. They are great for holding my hair in various styles but I don't use them for bunning because the rounded parts always sticks out from the bun and takes from the look of my style. I guess I just need to work on pin placement.

Here are some to try:
1. large Good Hair Days plastic pin
2. medium Good Hair Days plastic pin
3. Good Hair Days Magic Grip pin
4. gold Hair Scroo
5. regular hair pin
6. non crimped bobby pin (laying on its side)
7. Quattro Starlite stick
8. Amish pin
9. 3" Bunheads pin
10. 2" Bunheads pin

I personally use roller pins because I fail at hair pins. On occasion I use bobby pins though they at times chip on me too. The roller ones do not though.

DC, I like using the Good Hair Days pins.

I don't even use regular hair pins any more. I usually purchase them at Sally's if you're interested.
