Ladies,

You are not going to believe what happened to me. Last night, I wanted to wash my hair and proceeded by doing my pre-poo. Soaked my hair with coconut oil and waited a few minutes. But unfortunately, I started feeling a really bad migraine and to lie down. I didn’t wake up until the following morning. By morning, I didn’t have much time to do my hair so I went straight to work. Stupid me, I had my hair in a ponytail and just went out the door. After a proximately 5 minutes outside I noticed something odd!!! I felt my ponytail and it was FROZEN!!!! It felt like one of those stuffed animals hunter get!!!:nono:

It was hard and frozen in a “ I love Genie Ponytail” …. Even weirder, men this morning were all over me. Winks, doors being pulled open…. Men getting out of their way to make eye contact and small talk… I’m like …HOLD UP!! When my hair is unfrozen I don’t get this much attention, what the heck is it about a frozen ponytail that gets men so getty and flirty?

MORAL of the story!! DON’T PUT COCONUT OIL AND WALK OUTSIDE DURING WINTER!!!:yep:

I will bun my hair all winter!!!! Protective style is the way to go!

LOL!:lachen: maybe they were thinking along the same lines as you...

''Hellooooo Genie. hm hm'' :bdance:

lols!

That's why hairveda only ships vatika frosting in the winter. Freezes pretty easily. It's too bad though, Coconut oil smells SOOOO GOOD!

Also... This could be your next go to style on a date perhaps??

I have first hand experience with frozen hair due to EVCO. I try to post that it will freeze on your hair as much as people mention EVCO, sorry you missed the warning.

Well, if men like it and you're looking for a beau...maybe you should use more. LMAO. I take my apology back.

Oh yea i did this last winter.. made the same damn mistake.. i was freaking out just like you :lachen: but it unfreezes once you hit that heat..

I have never Heard about this happening to anyone on this forum:drunk:
I know this hard to beleive but I have some coming on her hard...I mean the gazes , the lip sucking , the winks....Like some sort of desert. Oddly all of them being WM. Speechless.... Just speechless!!

I was out in 20 degree weather, on thanksgiving, I told my whole family that my hair was frozen and to feel it, they were busting up laughing when they realized I was telling the truth

Turn your heat up real high in your car, it will unthaw. :lachen:

this happened to me last week...i sealed with vatika oil the day before, and it was snowing the next day and i didnt wear a hat...my hair was brick lol i was like dang i aint know AVG had hold like this! and then i realized it was the coconut oil. :look: but after being in the car for like 5-10 minutes, it softened up and my hair felt like silk...it was sooo soft and moisturized for days and it didnt refreeze lol

this reminds me of that part in "there's something about mary"..
when her hair was stiff....
too much?:look:
bahahahaha!

Does this happen with shea butter too?
I don't think so, because Shea Butter doesnt have a melting point. Ive never seen Shea Butter turn to liquid oil from solid at or above room temp

edit: well truth is it does but at a much higher temp, interesting question, because it does melt/soften when rubbed together and what not. which means it is more solid in one state and less in another.....hmm....but I don't think so

Omg, that was too funny!!!! I wonder if this would happen with fractionated coconut oil as well, since it doesn't really harden like regular coconut oil.
Maybe it was the ponytail!
If your hair is always in a bun, the men finally saw it down and were like "oh yeeeeeeeeeeeah" *koolaid man voice*

Girl I was thinking you were going to say you left the coconut oil in for a few months and your hair matted up :lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:

But yes! Coconut oil is infamous for solidifying in cold climates right on the hair!:lachen:

Ok, frozen hair + coconut oil = men! *noted down*
Seriously, I wonder if that's why that guy was being so nice to me at work? The power of the coconut!! He he he!

That happens to me (sans the flirtatious men part) so I had to switch to olive oil though I don't care for the smell of it.
