I just wasted 7 minutes of my life watching that video.:wallbash: That dude is ignorant but unfortunately, there are many more out there that have that same mindset.:nono:

Elle, sis, ignore that fool. He's not articulate at all and he's not worth your time and attention. Keep doing what you do. You're beautiful and we love you.:lots:

Wow, Platinum, thank you so much!! :yep: I love you guys too!

I honestly don't mind what he is saying about me, I mean, if that's where he wants to go, that's fine - he actually sounds super creepy so I don't need to respond to him, and won't (I've read about stalkers and they will respond to any kind of reaction - negative or positive). I just don't like my picture on his page, it's just creepster. :perplexed

Omg, I'm totally laughing at this guy. Quite frankly, I don't like his tone and him calling you names "muppet baby?"

Thumbs down.

Bwhahahah yea he called me a hypocrite because I should take issue with the Willow Smith song and video, which promotes little girls to do outlandish things to their hair...I was like what in the...?

I flagged it. I don't know if my reason was appropriate. He is just jealous he can't get with you. Why else would a man be commenting on this?

Just weird! And thank you - regardless of the reason you put, it's a YT violation to use content that you do not have ownership of.

I really don't want to give him the views, but I'll flag him for you girl. *whips out my e-vaseline and e-sneakers*

:lachen: ^:lachen:^ :lachen: He's so ignorant! I couldnt even comprehend most of that video, it was a struggle for me to finish it! And yes these are the type of men relaxed hair attracts- alot of them have a "complex" about black hair and skin.

He can barely articulate his thoughts. He needs to write stuff down first before posting anything. I only got through about three minutes then flagged it for you under Cyber Bullying.

I couldn't watch the whole thing. He talks too slow and needs to get his thoughts together.

I agree with a pp, people are crazy. Ignore his crazy arse and KIM pretty girl!

honey I`m in style.. now..and If you think that a black woman who has nappy hair is chic.. then it is you who are wearing the emperor`s new clothes.Any hair stylist will tell you that combing the hair massages the scap and promotes hair growth..I`m black.. my hair is naturally straight , if it is cut short.. i don`t have to even comb it.. but i do.. to promote stimulation of the follicles.. we come from a hair care family..But Black nappy hair is nothing but an insult to Black women and reminiscent of slavery .Blacks for the first time in thousands of years..didn`t comb their hair.. you have never seen one Black Sculpture or stele in African Egypt,Ghana, Ethiopia ,or any ancient African nation ,"with nappy hair.. The only time you have seen nappy hair is during Slavery.. when Blacks were at their least.. Don` t try to con me because you let someone con you into thinking that nappy hair was something to be admired.. other races made this condition for you and other races laugh at you when they see you falling for their tricks..Do you know that their are actually people in a board room sitting making up fads..Nappy hair ain`t natural hair .,Natural hair needs to be conditioned and managed..I will give you one good example.. take black males who have ,what we call "cucka bugs" very short tightly curled hair.. which doesn`t seem to grow an inch..But in six months to a year.. this same head of hiar ,when conditioned and, First twisted, then rubber banded,,then plaited, then braided ,becomes dreads or long braids..this is in men.. ..Do you think this grade of hair would have gorwn so -long ,so fast.. just by treating it as nappy natural.. with a little spritzing and pulling..no way..

Done! I didn't even entertain the thought of listening to any of that garbage...I just flagged him. It's a shame that there are still so many Black men (and women) who think this way :nono:.

lol @ him calling you uneducated. Apparently I need to be educated on the history of bottom-teeth gaps. Because that's my first time seeing one like that.

^^lol. I feel bad about that now. Knowing good and well I was born with gaps in my teeth (still...not "like that" though:look:). He's just mean!

Oooooomg....my lawd, you ladies are awesome. I thought it was hilarious he called me uneducated, when he is the one doing all these crazy things because I BLOCKED him and no longer wanted to listen to his drivel...in the comment I left saying I hope he can move on from this, I listed all the ways he had attempted to contact me, and he FLAT OUT LIED and denied it. I just laughed.

Omg wow! Just wow...some of these dudes are really hella crazy...yea, so after I had blocked him, in order to make sure I saw the video since he couldn't message me on YT, he sent it to one of the chicks I talk to, who had responded to his comments on my vid the other day, and he was insulting her and calling us all nappy headed and ugly...the self hate some of these men have is really just concerning, like for real.

Okay, I went back and looked at all four videos. First off, I do not think he violated youtube guidelines. He did not steal your pictures; he did a screen shot of the response video that you did directed at him. Having everyone flag his video is excessive. You're basically harassing him because you disagree with him.

The Sesame Street video is annoying. You disagreed with his view point on it, but so what? Why can't he have his own views? It's "you" tube - each person expressing his or her own views. I agree with him that I'm so tired of the constant focus on trying to "prove" that we loooove our hair, or focusing all of our self esteem on hair. We need to be teaching little girls to love themselves, not their hair.

Since most people probably didn't take the time to look at all of the videos, I went back and did a quick synopsis of each one...

(testizel) Response to Sesame Street “I love my hair.”
While MANY are jumping on the bandwagon about Sesame Street's latest video "I Love My Hair" I see this as being STEREOTYPICAL and singling out BLACK FEMALES from other races. Like black women are the ONLY ones that use hair products and go extra lengths to look good. Knock it off!
1. He also said it is a “fact” that other races have better hair, as in not as rough, etc.
2. There is no reason why black people have to be “all natural” when other races don’t.
3. They are singling out blacks and reinforcing negative stereotypes about black people being insecure with their hair.
4. He’s being bashed/called an Uncle Tom for his views.
5. Not all black women are blessed with the type of hair where you don’t have to put anything in it; many black women in Africa don’t do anything to their hair except use all natural products.
6. People are QUICK to jump on the bandwagon and get excited about stuff, but you should look at the big picture.
7. Sometimes black women do go overboard with their hair, but to each her own.
8. All ethnicities should have been portrayed in the video.

(denimpixie) Response to Response – Sesame Street “I Love My Hair”
1. First off, this is your own opinion.
2. Not trying to diss weaves/wigs/relaxers.
3. If I thought it was positive, it was positive.
4. You disagree with the original response video.
5. The video was aimed at children, not grown women. Black girls have more issues that have been perpetuated, etc....
6. It was incredibly ignorant for him to say that all races should have been portrayed in the video. You felt like he was reaching for some type of negativity in the video that many people don’t think is present.
7. Talking about the white man who created the skit.
8. You also had an issue with him talking about women should be able to use relaxers, shampoo, etc.
9. ………went on about things you didn’t like about his response video.
10. (I stopped watching at 7 minutes)

(testizel) DenimPixie: Diary of an IGNORANT black woman

1. He sent a response to the Sesame Street video, not to you – you just took offense to it.
2. You had your followers gang up on him (twitter/your youtube response, and now here at LHCF)
3. Black people have a different type of texture than other races.
4. There is nothing wrong with people wearing their hair the way they choose.
5. His problem with Willow Smith is that the video promotes EXTREME (not natural) hair styles for children.
6. Saying black women should have natural hair all of the time is a form of oppression. You’re halting progression.
7. He doesn’t do the whole social media war thing….

I think the fact that people just flagged the video without even watching the whole thing or listening to what he said PROVES his point about how quick people are to jump on the bandwagon without looking at the bigger picture. Also, he was right in that his original video was not aimed at YOU at all.

Thanks for your opinion - actually, before I flagged his video I reviewed the YouTube guidelines (I'm actually not the kind of person to just flag someone because they disagree with me, I'm an adult, it's the internet, doesn't phase me), and it is against their guidelines to use someone else's image, even in a screenshot, in your video. I am not referring to the screenshot of the page with my video response to him, I am referring to the image he took of me in another video at the end of his. I read them, those are the guidelines. Shrug.

Furthermore, I was never personally offended by his first video...his "facts" were incorrect (it's a fact that black women have lesser hair, seriously?), so I clarified/corrected him. I never insulted him in my video, I just said he was ignorant, because he was - he had no idea what he was talking about.

A agree with everything above.

I must admit that I flagged him without really thinking...but then I just actually took the time to go back and look at his videos....

That's his opinion and to honest he's entitled to it. On some parts I agree. They should have had more nationalities in that Seaseme Street song. Because they singled us out...it makes me feel uneasy like it's something wrong with our hair and we need a whole song to fix it. Why not have japanese people (who hate their hair curly), dominicans, white people, and other nationalities. And natural hair is not the only way as they made it seem in the vid. Having weave, a relaxer, or being natural is a choice and everyone is entitled to it. None of those choices are "better" than the other. I don't think he should be flagged. He didn't do anything to harm you mentally or emotionally...he just voiced his opinion...and got beat down for it. Gimme a break.
