I think I finally mastered the Bantu Knotout

he other day I tried to do a set on 70% dry hair. It not only took 2 whole days to dry, but I twisted them too tight and it was a disaster. :( I mean DISASTER. So I brushed them out and put Shea Moisture and some mousse on it and did them on dry hair and let it dry overnight. I also remembered not to twist them so tight as I wrapped them around. Twisting tightly is good to do if you plan to wear them as a style but not for doing a knot out. Anyway heres how it looked and it lasted all day too.

SparklingFlame your hair is breathtaking! Simply gorgeous!!!!

Can you please not cut your hair? Seeing these pics is slowly ripping at my insides when I think about your crazy plans to go short. Can you just get a wig? Who cares if you appear to have a huge pumpkin head coz you have to get an oversized wig to fit all that hair. Can you please just continue to do your hair as you've been doing? I'll even give up all dream of a puff if you will please leave your hair as it is.

It's so beautiful it hurts!!!!

 Stunning!!! Seldom do I have hair envy (I'd be jealous all day everyday on here) but I have a case right now.

Also, I have never had success with a bantu-knot out. Next time I will try your suggestion of not twisting it tightly because your result is beautiful! did you separate these after you took them down?

 I thought about getting a Mommy Wig but I am not sure I can fit all that hair under it. I have a cousin who said she would braid it and she can do a jam up job, but I just dont think it will fit.

Thnx so much tho!

Yes I seperated them after I took them down. @Stella I did it on completly dry hair instead of 70% dry hair. When it was really messed up, it was because I was twisting the hair too tight as I wrapped the hair into the knot. Next time I do it on wet hair I'll make sure to do it on 90% dry hair and not twist them so tightly. The waves are still in too. I used Elasta QP mousse or setting foam or whatever its called.

Thnx so much everybody for the compliments!
