I love my maxiglide, i really do but i miss my sedu. SOMEBODY in my house broke it but as usual, that damn "it wasn't me" and "i don't know" took the blame. I hadn't been using it because i was transitioning at the time... ask me was i pissed

Anyway, had anyone used this in comparison to any other flat irons? I really liked it when i had it but if there is an even better one out there, let me know please.

I have it and I've used mine a few times and it was just ok for me. I really like my FHI iron but I'm staying away from that as well...I am going heat free!

I have been highly tempted to get a Sedu, but last weekend I decided on a Hana professional. If you've owned the Sedu and loved it, then go for it!

So are you still transitioning or are you all natural now? I don't want to get your thread too far off topic, but what is your flat ironing regimen now? Do you blow dry first? I am 9 months post relaxer and wanting to flat iron without blowdrying.

I have the 1" Sedu and I love it. If something happened to it I'd probably try a Solia just for the sake of it but really, the Sedu is fabulous.

I have a Sedu and I love it. I've previously owned a Chi which I liked. BUT once I got the Sedu I never worried about getting my Chi fixed. Also I've had it much longer than the Chi which messed up after a very short time.

Supergirl I am all natural but i plan on keeping my hair straight throughout the winter.

Right now i Shampoo, deep condition, and a heat protectant and then flat iron.
I am still experimenting with the air drying vs blow drying. Last time i flat ironed, i air dried 70% and blow dryed the rest on cool. The next time i do it i am going to follow the same steps and just add sabino to my hair and blow dry on high heat and then flat iron.

I had to redo my hair today because i got wet but this is what i came out with.

Your hair came out great! I got a 20$ Andis flat iron and it gets my hair strait with the lowest setting. I am no longer motivated to buy an expensive iron. If that doesn't get my hair strait, I have a fabulous Instyler that really gets my hair strait. Hubby brought that for me last year.:yep:

I'm curious to know too about Sedu and FHI...I have my trusty Pink GVP which is wonderful...but I need to examine the plates to make sure the coating isnt peeling or anything...

BTW MsLizziA "not me", "it wasnt me" and "i dont know" tend to visit my house too! I never know when they're coming SMH.

I have a Solia.. it's curls ok (i don't press with it) but it snags my hair. :-( so I rarely use it.

I have a Sedu and a FHI. I prefer my FHI. The Sedu was just OK. I'd honestly contemplate getting a Conair Infiniti. I just started using it and I fell in love! This is coming from the girl who has a Sedu, CHI, FHI, MaxiGlide and Herstyler flat irons.

I have a sedu and i love it!! It straightens really well and leaves my hair shiny. I've been using it for over 3years. I use the miniglide for my edges and i like that too.

I have a Sedu Revolution. I really like it. On 350 degrees, it straightens my hair in one pass. No heat damage. No burnt smell. Shiny results.

You guys are making me want to try the FHI now. Oh, and I wanna try the Hana, too. I mean... I'm satisfied with the results of my Sedu, but what if there's something better out there? :look:

I have a Sedu 1", Maxiglide, Solia and a Chi. I've always loved the Sedu the most, and it's my favorite iron. The Maxiglide is great too, but when I use it with the steam option, it makes my hair way too soft ... almost fly away soft.

The rest of the irons are just OK to me.

I own the Sedu and it is an amazing flat iron. I've had it for nearly 7 years now and I've never had any problems with it (I used it once every week). I retired it a few months ago when I bought the Joico flat iron.

I used to have a Sedu and I loved it...until I stepped on it while I was getting ready to go out in a flurry. :( I have a Croc Infrared now, that I like a lot, but my assessment isn't the best because I never straighten my hair and have only used it once. But, I kinda want a Sedu Revolution or the mini one.

I knooooow, and I want it! But I don't really have anything to buy from Folica, and I don't want to be tempted to straighten, lol! Maybe I can get gifts for Christmas and keep the iron...LOL
