Actually it's been a couple years, I think hehe.
I washed, conditioned and deep conditioned with combo of Pantene Frizzy to Smooth, and Elasta QP DPR11. List of all products used: diluted Lottabody, AfroSheen satin press, Silk Elements Mega Silk hair moisturizing creme and snap-on magnetic rollers of various sizes.
I just sprayed the lottabody, combed it through, applied endpapers and rolled the hair.
After I took them out, I used a tiny bit of the satin press to straighten the roots with the back end of a straightening comb then pincurled. I did not go down the length except on one or two chunks of hair that weren't completely dry when the rollers came down. I just pinned those out the way and let them air dry while I worked on the dry sections.
This was an all day affair from wash to finish. The last roller was placed around 10:30 and around 6 I took out one down only to find it still damp on the last 1/4 so sat under the dryer for 30-40 minutes.
This morning, I undid the curls, used a dab of Silk Elements and gentled used a wide tooth comb down the length.
Here's the entire saga in pics (excuse my ugly too-early-in-the-morning face):
As I was smoothing the roots.
The darned comb slipped LOL but got the nape done. It won't happen again!
It's pretty long and probably why the ends took so long to dry. My hair sections were not too big. Next time I'll go with flexi-rods.
This morning after taking down the pincurls:
I think it came out pretty good especially for natural hair and thought I'd share with you ladies. Debbie Downer statement: I can't see myself doing this again any time soon, it really was hard work rollersetting this head by myself.
Thanks for looking
