ladies who use this as apart of their regimen...How often do you use it?

I use it after every wash as a leave in then I apply my heat protectant serum, blow dry and flat iron. But if I don't feel like I need any protein I just use the vitamin one in the purple bottle.

Thank you! =0)

I use it when I blowdry and flatiron my hair (the left out for the weave)

I'm curious about this too. Has anyone used it as a protein boost on natural hair, not straightened?

well it only works with heat, so unless you're diffusing it won't do anything.

I use it as a leave in after every wash and I use it as my only heat protectant when flat ironing. It offers just the right amount of protection without weighing down my fine hair.

I either use Aphogee spray or Redken Anti-Snap (usually the Aphogee) almost everyday since I've been co-washing everyday. After I spray, I put a moisturizing conditioner or a leave in on my hair and seal with some sort of oil.

I use this weekly & sometimes alternate with the Chi Keratin Mist (pj trying to use up some of these products).

I agree.

I'd like to add - when I first started out on my hair journey I used to use this every week with great results. Now, my hair doesn't like it, or rather doesn't need it.

If your hair doesn't need it the hair will be a little hard, brittle and dry. I wouldn't consider the green tea a mild protein, more so a medium protein that can cause an imbalance if not careful with its usage..

I'd def like to start using this when I blow dry and get back in the habit of using it when I rollerset also. I bought it to give me a mild protein boost. It seems it's a product that is heat activated.

Reminds me this needs to go in my "for sale/give away" bag.

It is a great product but will throw off your moisture/protein balance with the quickness. I agree it is best as a before heat styling product. You really don't need alot either.

I use my APhogee Green Tea after every wash no issues what so ever for over 2 years now, along with Aphogee leave in conditioner :D they are my staples and right now you can go to Sally's and get 2 for $9 :D and if you have a coupon you can get 20% off that :D 555925

This product uses body heat as well, not necessarily heat tools. :D I have used it for years no issues.

I use it on wash day because I'm highly protein sensitive so I figured this would be a nice, lighter alternative. I just spray it on wet hair and follow it up with moisturizer before I style.

I use it once a week after i wash my hair.

i use it after i shampoo, if my hair feel like it needs a lil protien boost. i luvs this stuf, the bottle says body heat activates it, but i use a light blow dry and it leaves my hair feeling strong, u may have to moisturize after. i also use the pro-vitamin leave in, if my hair doesnt need any protien.

i just started using it a couple of days ago. so far, i've just been experimenting to see how my hair reacts. i've tried it on my dry hair and it made my hair hard:wallbash: i tried it on as an overnight baggy- my hair felt fine. i'm using it now as a followup to my cowash (i put my leave-in and hollywood beauty castor oil on afterwards). hopefully my hair doesn't turn out hard:crossfingers: i'm probably using it too much but i'm curious lol

Details! :yep::yep:
How much are you using? How many sprays of Green Tea/How much of the Vit. Leave-in?
What are you using by way of shampoo (she uses Hair1) and DC?
Are there any other sources of protein in your reg.?

JJ. Do you think it could be a replacement for "protein" conditioner for those that co-wash frequently?

LOL I use Hair One too (Olive Oil), LOL

Honestly parted in two I spray 3 each section (total of six pumps) per so that would be Green Tea and Aphogee leave in, max is 4 pumps each.

I do include A major protein once a month and every other wash has a mild protein like Aphogee 2 minute.

Lately I have been Steaming Motions CPR and then using Nexxus Emergencee right behind it for a Hardcore protein (hair drinks it up) once a month

Aphogee 2 minute (very little) mixed into my moisture and steam this in. This keeps my balance, my hair is easily over moisturized :yep:

I still use my Aphogee Green tea and Aphogee leave in behind it.

Just to say it again I LOVE Hair One Olive Oil as of now I am a lifer :) (as a PJ until the next best thing comes around :lachen: )

I think that it could be considered a mild protein, because my hair is so needy it is basically mild.

Okay I see. You are very protein tolerant. I think I was using too much, maybe around 8 pumps, but I could probably get away with 4-5.

Maybe I'll revisit in the name of "use 1" (in my "Mutley" laugh)

How does it utilize body heat if it's a spray on leave in?? It's not like you use it with a plastic cap for a deep treatment. Girl you know something I don't? Share please!!! ;)

Thanx for the info! You have a beautiful head of hair! I used it last night on my damaged ends without heat and I must say that I saw a difference in my hair today...Where there would be broken ends all over there were only like two...

i use it on my ends every few days when wet bunning and i definitely notice a difference....if my ends are breaking, i saturate them in the spray and by the time i take the wet bun down that night, voila -- no more broken ends.

I use it on a weekly basis with no problems.
I think I like the old formula better, and I think it works better with heat.

I have been spraying it on my braided hair after DCing. I will be spraying it on and sit under my dryer on the lowest heat setting with my hair loose after Dcing moving forward.

I know some ladies use it under a dryer with rollers. I haven't tried it that way yet but I think I might. I'm not a big rollers fan. I would however try it before wrapping my hair with heat.

I use this when I plan on using heat on my hair and on my previously relaxed hair on relaxer day.

how does aphogee green tea differ from elasta qp h-two?

H-Two is more of a moisturizing leave while Green Tea is a protein based.
