My son is growing his hair out, he wants twist. I was checking Youtube to find the technique and came across this product.

They have a website, on the site it has a short Youtube video showing how it works.

Interesting.

so u use it just to start locking when ur hair may be too short to "grip" and roll?

Wow, I kinda wish I had one for my TWA. Comb coils take so long. I wonder if it would work for that or if it's strictly for dreds.

I'm not going to use it for locs. My dd just wants twist for awhile and then he will go on to another style. It has to be alot easier than the comb coil.

ha my SO used this!! I guess his was too long and he was upset that it didn't twist so well....He even asked if the LHCF ladies knew anything about it....Now that was funny!! He said it would work but for short periods of time for only a few days.....He ended up giving it to his brother with shorter hair and it works for them

I was reading where it said you had to touch it up a couple times a day to make sure it stays twisted. I would think maybe once a day to ensure they stay twisted.

Also i ready anything over 2 inches is too long.

I saw this at a recent hair expo, it was really cool. They were demonstrating on lots of people and there was a big group of folks waiting to have their hair twisted up. :yep:

I used this on my mother when she wanted a style while she was growing out her hair. She had about 2 inches of hair at the time and it took a while for me to do it but it twisted up pretty good.

I've used the sponge on other people before, I like it a lot. It definitely works well on short hair.
