Silly Question About a Steamer

Deep Thinker
ETA: I ended up ordering the Salons R Us one and got the $10 discount. Apparently, the code is still good after all these years LOL. Oh yeah, make sure you put it in as EXOTICMOMMIES. I forgot to add the S on the end the first time.

I'm researching a home hair steamer and I can't wait to get it.:spinning: I had one in my shopping cart on Amazon for $99 but I waited too long and it got sold. I prefer Amazon when ordering since it seems safer and it's always easier for me.

But luckily I checked and looks like most of you order the one from Salons R Us for $89 with the $10 discount. But I read about them leaking or not working so I just don't know if I should get that one. Then I read about them being backordered for weeks. They come from China?

Most likely I'll order it tomorrow. But I was just wondering..... don't laugh at me..........but can I use a hand held steamer in the meantime? I'm so anxious.

I have this one from BB&B ($19.99) and it's for clothes and stuff. I bought it mainly for my new shower curtain but I haven't even turned it on yet. But would it make a difference?? Steam is steam, right?

I don't want to burn my hair off.:pullhair: I have no clue how hot the steam should be to be like the hair steamer.

Would you try it???

I bought my steamer from Salons R Us and it works fine so far. I haven't had any problems with it not working.

I personally wouldn't use a clothes steamer on my hair.. It seems like it would be easy to injure yourself with it.

its a girl on youtube that uses her facial steamer and her pibbs dryer

she loves it! (try search on youtube)
also it has waaaaay more steam than my steamer

I'll definitely do a search on Youtube. Thanks for the tip. I know it's gonna take a while to get the steamer if I order it today so I'm pretty sure I'll be researching some alternatives.

Thanks!!

LOL... I'm pretty injury proned too so I could see myself doing something stupid like dropping it or something.

I'm glad to know the one you purchased worked well for you. I'm about to order it now.

Thanks!

By the way, I opened the steamer up last night and tried it out on the shower curtain and.... BIG FAIL!!! The stupid steamer doesn't even steam constantly. You have to keep pressing the button and the wrinkles didn't even come out.

I shoulda known when I saw that infomercial guy, Billy somebody (RIP) on the box .

I put my hand in the steam and at a certain distance it doesn't seem dangerously hot. But I'll research on Youtube some more.
