My Roller Set on Natural Hair, Success!

I'm finally starting to get the hang of roller sets. I did the "easy" way with ponytails.

Looks so nice! I didn't even bother to post my rollerset failure from a few days ago. What exactly did you do? Mine came out stiff and at the same time fluffy...I've seen poodles that looked better than I did.

Yeah these roller sets on natural hair are hard to master. I did a ponytail rollerset. I think the key for me is to use less product since my hair is easily weighed down. I only used Chi Silk infusion and made sure each section was really wet. I sprayed Motions heat protectant once the rollers were in.

Very pretty. When my hair gets longer I'll have try a rollerset again. I've had very little success in the past with rollersetting my natural hair. Perhaps the ponytails will help? And flat-ironing the roots as you did. IDK, but it's worth giving it a go.
