I'm about 13 months into my transition period, and God knows how much I love to play in the kinks and curls....But I'm starting to crack, trying to come up with decent, not even cute styles, is becoming extremely hard.

If I don't detangle every other day it becomes a huge issue, and frankly i don't have the patience to seperate every single knot....so I get some scissors and cut them bad boys out.

I haven't straightened my hair in about 3months and I'm fighting the urge to do so, at least until my birthday the end of this month. Another thing with straightening hair in this heat is it doesn't last because of all the new growth.

I don't really have any questions I just wanted to vent to people that know what this process entails.
IT'S JUST
I'M SO DAYMM FRUSTRATED!!!

Hugs, you got have to flat iron but what I started doing is after washing in sections is detangle and blow dry on cool with hte tension menthod. Then bun or only do so til damp and then slightly rewet and do a braid out.

Gotta love transitioning. once you think you have it down, new obsticle. Double hug.

 I'm jealous of how long you transitioned for. :lachen: I think you have to detangle more or DC more as a transitioner. The texture battle will be murder!:nono: I am rooting for you! If you decide to relax, you have accomplished a major victory for stretching so long.:yep: I have friends who relax once a year and they have long healthy relaxed hair. I would be so happy if I could be as successful.

:hug3:............

hi. why dont you try using cornrows for a while so you dont have to detangle so often.
Hi libertysince05, I have a complex with cornrows.....I get bored easily and get the urge to take em out. Even then tangles when taking down the cornrows ain't no joke. But I might start doing more twist outs and buns etc.
