Soft bonnet attachment and Rollersets

Hi - I have one and use it for traveling...

It is pretty cool but I had to always use a small fan because it gets so hot under there and my head was sweating (even on the lower seating) - but I love the convenience and dries all over

Can you put that bonnet over rollers? The description says its for deep conditioning treatments. That's what I use mine for. I'm in the market for a dryer that's why I'm chiming in.

i sure hope it fits over rollers. I wanted to do a ponytail rollerset and this is my only option. Thanks ladies.

I have the whole soft bonnet dryer from Sallys. You can dry your roller sets w/ them just fine. Just make sure the rollers aren't poking the bonet or it will rip. I know! But they're great b/c lately I'll fall asleep w/ it on when I do a rod set even thought I wouldn't recommend doing that. :o)

Go on ahead! The only type of dryer I use now is a soft bonnet attachment and it works great with rollers... just make sure your head fits underneath!

ok.. im about to buy some rollers. i guess i will stick to the purple and gray.. i use them in the salon. i want to experiment with a ponytail roller set

I do this, I also use the purple and gray rollers, right now I'm BSL. I like the soft bonnet I can lay down and nap while my hair is drying lol!

I use this one from sally's and hook it to my blow dryer. It's cheap I paid around $5.00 for it, but I think I had a coupon.

Are you kidding me? Shut yo mouth!:lachen: I have this same bonnet and I can barely keep it on my head when deep conditioning (it won't stay put and it gets really hot). I would never in a million years have thought to try this with rollers but now I might. Soooo - I don't need to go to Sally's to purchase the babybliss ionic stand up dryer that I had in mind then??? I was leaving for lunch to go purchase it - tell me not to go please tell me not to go cuz I can use what I have :yep:.

don't go girl! Use what you have! My roller sets come out great, I haven't had problems with it slipping off my head either. Below is how my hair looks when I take out the rollers, I haven't combed it or anything yet.

btw I use the Conair Infiniti dryer on low, warm heat

WOW (gorgeous)! I'm natural so I don't expect my hair to look like yours but I'm just so fascinated that you can use that soft bonnet for roller sets and it will fit and it will give you such great results. I think I'll try it tonight with the noodle thingies to see how it works YAY and thanks (OP and BlackGeisha)!

I have the silver one from Sally's and it works great! A trick for roller sets is to put the bonnet on first THEN turn the dryer on. Even the most gigantic dome will fit it there:lol: For DCing what I did to keep it from flying off is I bought some velcro - the no-sew kind that's sticky on one side. I cut two small pieces of the "pricky kind" and stuck them on either side of the bonnet. Then I took the "soft kind and looped it under my chin like a chin strap. Leave the sticky tape on that part though.

I bought a cheap attachment off of ebay and my chi blow dryer burned it up. I mean like burned holes in it.

I got back on ebay and bought an old vintage soft bonnet dryer. That thing is rocking.

This is the same one I use for my rollersets. The newer model sally's sells does not have holes at the top, so I've had my old one forever now!!

Ladies - I am sitting under my silver soft bonnet by Conair from Sallys as we speak (I mean exchange posts). I'm only DCing though. I'm going to try the 2 strand twist and curl and then see if my bonnet will fit over it (using KBragg's recommendation). I wanted the stand up driver but I'm trying to eliminate debt so $9 vs. $110 (you do the math). If it ain't broke I won't try to fix it - although I may just add some velcro LOL. Thanks

p.s. any suggestions for what to do when the dryer is too hot? I can't use the high air because it gets too hot even on the warm setting.

Your welcome, let us know how your hair turns out!

your hair looks great, BlackGeisha!! :yep:
i have the same exact one, and it works just fine.

Yup I don't have any complaints about it, it does the trick! :yep:

Really? This little bonnet thing is more popular than I thought! lol!

hey,
i would keep it on hot as long as you could stand it then switch to low. mine only has a high/low setting.

True, how hot it gets may depend on your blowdryer. My blowdryer has a low, med, high and cool, warm, hot settings. So I put it put it on low and warm so I don't melt up under there. :lachen:
