Hi Ladies,

I haven't posted in such a long time, and I haven't really visited the boards either. But, I'm back, and I want to let you all know that I BIG CHOPPED yesterday! It was just time; I felt it. I was so tired of my relaxed hair breaking despite the care that I was giving it. I don't have pics right now, but let's just say that I don't even have a TWA...it's like a fade, really. My SO loves it, and I do also. I'm ready for the growing to begin! It felt great to get in the shower and just wet my hair, not having to worry about putting a shower cap on...FREEDOM! I just woke up this morning, got in the shower, put a little of CD's Mimosa Hair Honey on, and brushed, and was out the door. I feel fabulous.:yep:

Aww congrats!

I loved how I felt immedieatly after I BC'ed! So free and anxious to embark upon my new journey:yep:
 
So, I couldn't wait until I got home to post pics, so I took pics with my phone and sent them to myself via email. I really love the fact that I BC'd, but because I was only 10 weeks post relaxer, I had to get it cut close to my scalp. For all of you who are cut close like me, do you brush your hair in the morning do you just moisturize and go? Sorry, if the questions sound kind of "common sense," but a sista is confused!

First I want to say "Congrats!"

To answer your question, I just spray with water,or rinse (sometimes with condish; sometimes not) moisturize and go! I moisturize with either Qhemet Amla Olive Heavy cream or Honey Olive balm depending on how dry it feels.

I have noticed the more I rinse the more dry it is so am trying to find the balance in how much to moisturize before I actually cowash/ or clarify with bentonite clay.

Last month when my hair was shorter I brushed it every now and then because it was beeding up and showing more scalp than i was comfortable with (I have coarse/wiry, but thin hair) but now that it is a bit longer i do nothing.
