Oh man I don't even know where to begin. My 2 yr old grandbaby got a hold of my avocado butter and slathered about 1/2 pound of butter on her hair! :wallbash:

My daughter is upstairs trying to shampoo or co-wash this stuff out of her hair. Its really stuck to her scalp. Picture yourself slapping 1/2 pound of Doo Gro on your hair.. yeah that bad.

Any suggestions? Should I call 911? LOL

She's cute! I don't know if you're a cheapo like me, but I'd be squeezing off the excess to save for later :look:.

Wait I know she's cute, I need answers! LOL
Cherry Pie, my daughter is still in the bathroom trying to wash it out. Its like stuck to her scalp or something.

Just keep washing it out, my daughter done this when she was small but she had a jar of Vaseline! shampoo just rolled off, but we kept at it for Days! Good Luck!!

I would try clarifying shampoo, Dawn dishwashing liquid, that breaks oils, and grease and of course watch her eyes.

OMG I forgot about that! Thank you!
My DD put the baby's hair in about 10 twists (super cute) and the baby's hair looks kinda gray LOL I'll try the Dawn tomorrow.

Wow, really?

Well, the dawn dishwashing liquid suggestion should do it. It cuts grease really well.:yep:

I hope you get it out before the baby gets frustrated.:yep:

Let me know what brand that is, so I never buy it.:lachen:

LMFAO I got it from Camden :lachen:

I can't blame their butter though. I don't think people are supposed to stick their hand in the jar and slather it on like shampoo (yes that's what she did). I said to her "when you get a job you owe me $15" LOL

Maybe letting it soak in overnight or for a few days will make it easier to wash out later. I wouldn't use too harsh of products to get it out, but instead think of it like a moisturizing treatment :)

Oh my. (she's a cutie :) ). Tell your daughter not to go overboard trying to get rid of all of it. i.e. Don't strip her hair and scalp out ... it's just plant butter ... messy but harmless. As long as you get the excess out the rest will absorb in a day or two.

She has got to be the youngest hair pj I have ever seen :)

Try lots of warm water and try some of the skala jaborandi, it won't strip her hair

She'll be fine, let her play around for a couple of days before your next attempt to wash it out.

Love that smile!

Thats what I would recommend...Dishwashering liquid soaps are designed to break down grease and oils

She loves hair stuff! A kid after my own heart! LOL  she passes me the rollers when I'm rollersetting her mother's hair. She loves to have her hair washed. When her mom does her hair, she looks in the mirror and says "linda!" (I'm pretty) LOL

Yeah I told my DD to just let her be for now. It was a hot mess I tell ya

I will give the dishwashing liquid a try tomorrow. She's finally asleep after that whole fiasco. Thank God it wasn't Nair!

R.I.P. my tub of avocado butter :nono:

I'm too distracted by all that cuteness to think.

Thank you! Here's a better picture of her
The last one is my DD and the avocado baby LOL

Beautiful family Boston Maria- You don't even look like you should have a granddaughter you look very young.

As for the avocado butter thing I would clarify with Suave.

aww. She's growing up! I remember when she was born. She reminds me so much of my oldest dd at that age (down to the antics). She found one of those sunscreens that start off blue before you rub it in while we were at the beach. She rubbed that stuff all over her body, swimsuit, hair, you name it. I was so mad! We let her go to the beach just like that!

Aww. She is too precious. Babygirl's hair is going to be well moisturized for weeks. LOL!

LMAO That's what I told my DD
