i think this is where i go

before the heat damage

before i got my reggie and knew what worked and what didnt

wet naked hair

2day old wng in a pony before i dyed over the bleach (moisture and protein in check)

brushed out curls

after the heat damage and back to black

some more curls

as you can see, before i got heat damage and when my hair was shorter (1st pic) i resemble a 3b better. but due to heat damage and the weight of my hair it has stretched my curls some. hope i didnt post too many pix or too big

Hey - I have a ponytail picture that looks similar -

I haven't been able to duplicate this though. Usually, I have more waves going into my pontail and as I get length, I am losing my curls. Makes me rethink the length quest (just a little)...

yeah i still have some heat damaged pieces i'm growing out. its like growing out my relaxer all over again! no fun

sometimes i can see the damage real good, sometimes i dont. same with pictures. sometimes you cant see the damage, sometimes you can see it a lot, like below (ignore the funky pose, it was a bad day lol)

if you look at my left boob (on the right of the pic) you can see some totally straight pieces.

the pic in my siggy is a roller set very poorly wrapped over nite lol

Wavez I feel the same way about losing the curls. As it got longer they did start a dissapearing act. That was the case with this ponytail . All I had in my hair was mousse and coconut oil.

I see. I get what you are saying about almost like transitioning. I don't use heat much but I have a little part in the back of my "v tail" that won't curl and I suspect it's heat damage. Thing is, it's the longest part of my hair and I ain't cutting it LOL

I like the "poorly wrapped" rollerset. It's not bone straight and looks like your hair could grow out of your head that way - very natural.

I think once I reach the length goals I have and lose some weight in the face, I might keep it at bsl or shorter - that's where I saw the best curls. When will that be? dunno.
