Who owns an FHI? How do you like it? Is it best?

Even though my birthday is a little less than 3 months away, I am researching flat irons now so i know which one I want as a gift (either to myself or from someone else). I am now pretty settled on the 1' FHI Platform. I want the smaller plates because of the SalonCabelo youtube video I saw (she is fantastic!). But I want some reviews from my girls. So...what are your thoughts on it?

I have a FHI. Hopefully I can find the version I have as it's limited....

There it is; mind you, when I bought it, it was $97 and that's with shipping added
I, personally, think it's the best flat iron I have ever owned. It has smashed my Conair, Chi Nano, and Maxiglide irons out of the water. I cheated on my FHI with my Maxiglide while transitioning. I used my FHI again to bump my younger cousin's hair and fell oh so in love again

Her hair was shiny, soft, bouncy, you name it. Lesson was definitely learned. I will never cheat on my FHI EVER AGAIN! Lol. I have a picture somewhere of my hair I flat ironed with my FHI.

I have a FHI 1in and i LOOOOOOOOVE it! i have other FHI irons (2in, domed iron, curling iron)...i don't like the 2in because it gets WAY too hot and its heavy (but it was free with a promotion they had goin' on). anyways, i barely ever use the curling iron unless i want a particular type of curl. the 1in does it ALL. the attached pic is curls from the 1in. its also an amazing straightener. its an investment but i recommend it.

I have the FHI Platform and love it!

All I have to do is one pass on my roots with the temp. set at 370 degrees and I'm good.

How long have you guys owned these? My biggest fear as far as flat irons go is that it'll stop working after a couple of months. I've never owned one, but I've heard that supposedly happens a lot with Chi's. Has this ever happened to someone with an FHI?

I have two FHI's that I love, one is fixed temp with 1.5 inch red plates. I have had it for maybe 4 years or so. The second one, my husband purchased for me as a gift Christmas 08, the plates are smaller, better for getting the roots and its adjustable temperature. I used to use cheap flat irons that never once worked as well as these do and I had to purchase several just to get me through a year. I really like the FHI's and even have my MIL hooked on them.

so the one inch seems best overall?

I have a FHI Runway, and I love it. I also have a Sedu, and I love it as well. Let me post some of the FHI threads in here.

My beautician uses a FHI Platform and I love the results! My hair is always beautiful.

I have a FHI platform (adjustable temp) and I love it. I'm relaxed. It's the first ceramic iron I've ever owned and I purchased after much research. I've had it for about 4 years and it still works very well. I hardly ever use it now, but when I first got it I used it 2-4x per month.

I had a FHI Platform flat iron but sold it to a woman on this forum. At the time I really did not know how to do my own hair well and I replaced my FHI Platform with a Maxiglide. I did like the Platform, I just was not using it correctly.

I have a FHI Runway flat iron and also a FHI blowdryer. I love their tools.

I have an FHI and love it. It's a really great iron because it also gets your hair silky...umm i have the technique one and it's good, only drawback is no temperature control which I hate. but I still use the iron just less frequently.

I also have the CHI and its average compared to the FHI. the CHI gets my hair straight BUT the FHI gets it both straight and silky.

No, I was able to get it for $275. They are really hard to find.

Hard to Find? Try non-existent! :nono:

I'm a disgruntled newbie that has been on the search, HARD for a FHI Runway or it's twin the H2Pro 204/206LE. They just don't exist anymore. Anywhere... especially in my area (Florida).

So If anyone knows of any BSS's that have any available, or if you'd like to sell me yours , please message me.

And to those that have either of those coveted Flat Iron Version...consider yourself Blessed!

If anyone that has used the FHI runway or it's H2Pro Twin in the past and have a new FHI flat iron you'd like to recommend that's just as effective... please be nice and let a sista know!

I have the FHI Platform Special Edition and I love, works much better than my Chi and Maxiglide.
