Ladies,
I have recently come to the conclusion that my hair has some sorta beef w/my forehead unbeknownst to me. You know how some peoples twistouts etc naturally gravitate toward their foreheads? For some reason my hair naturally "falls " back. It shouldnt really be "falling anywhere technically because it doesn't have that much hangtime. Why does it seem like for me to have my hair in my face i have to manually force my hair to do so? lol.. what can i do to short of cornrowing my hair from the nape up!!! does my hair have to be "trained" to do so? should we go to counseling? ladies... whats up?

I'm watching this thread bc I have always wondered why my hair had a beef with me forehead too. I think it's bc i have a big forehead though.

My hair tends to fall forward on my forehead. I think it does that because of the way it was cut. When I was relaxed my hair was cut into layers and I could feather the sides like a Farrah Fawcet, Mary J Blige in a wig type of hairdo.

So it could just be the shape of your haircut that is making it hard for you to have bangs.

This is me exactly, but sometimes there is one lock of hair in the middle that always likes to go forward in my face like a little Michael Jackson curl. The hair near my forehead never goes forward, it prefers to stick out/back and down.

i think my hair sits back is because it's used to being pushed back with the headband. I'd love some longer length in the front. I want a nice 'twist out swoop' going on with my hair. I see it with other naturals..I can't wait til that is me!

Maybe your hair needs to be longer. This may sound silly but have you tried parting your hair and combing forward into a bang. Or using rollers or braids to separate the hair from the rest of your hair to form a bang. Hope that made sense to you.

I have a natural part right in the middle and the hair goes out then dow at the sides. I can't have bangs my hair doesn't like my forehead either.

My older sisters friend has hair JUST LIKE sideshow Bob. I love looking at her pics. Anyway, my hair tends to grow more down that out..hence I doubt I'll ever get some side show in my life. :wallbash:
