after I wash my hair, which should I do first...deep, deep, deep condition or the color?

I'm putting a black rinse in.
I hate brown hair on me. I was trying to hold out on the color, but I can't help it.

It'll be the first time since I've been natural. Honestly I don't remember which step I used to do first when I was relaxed.

I wash, color, then deep condition. Sometimes the color leaves my hair feeling a little hard so I like to follow up with a deep condition.

Same here. Shampoo, Color and Condition. When I use a rinse, my hair doesn't feel as soft as I like it.

Thank you very much ladies.
I say "rinse", when it is actually a semi-permanent. I have no clue if there is a difference.

I appreciate your responses.:)

First, I will apply the semi-permanent color, and then add a layer of DC on top; which is followed by a 30-minute stint under the dryer (I don’t rinse until my hair has completely cooled).

I wash, DC, then color. When I DC after I color, it strips half of the color out.

I do a similar techinque to this as well. I also mix a lil bit of my a DC or jojoba/grapeseed oil to my rinse/semi-permanent. Its a great way to color and DC at the same time if you find it time consuming and you dont have to worry about washing the dye out by seperately conditioning it.
