After one year of transitioning, I BC'd last night. The transition had been going pretty well until a few days ago. I decided to get a sew-in instead of Senegalese Twists (my favorite PS). The sew-in was a disaster
. The hair was beautiful (Model Model Indi Afro hair) but I didn't feel comfortable with it. Also the girl that did my cornrows braided my hair too tight. The sew-in lasted 2 days.
Two days ago, I became frustrated with trying to find another PS (my scalp was still tender from the tight cornrows) so I created a thread asking whether I should chop or continue transitioning. The majority of you suggested that I BC. I tried to resist the urge and spent all day yesterday trying to find some style options. I needed to find a style before I hit the road
. Last night I decided to try cowashing, DC'ing, blowdry and flat iron. After cowashing, I noticed that my NG and relaxed ends were at war with one another.

After that, I said "Enough is enough". There was no sense in holding on to the relaxed ends. They were uneven and damaged in some spots anyway. I mixed Queen Helene Cholesterol and EVOO together and grabbed the scissors. At one point, I cut a section that was about 5 inches long and I wanted to cry.
Reality had set in and I was like "What have I done???"
Deep down inside, I knew that I was doing what was best for my hair.
I know what you're saying, Platinum stop yacking and post some pics.
:mob: More pics in posts#7,9, 11.
