So on March 6th I got my hair cut because my ends were horrible and I hated the thought of holding on to them just for the sake of length. Here are those results. I also got a fresh Design Essentials Relaxer. . .I think that's the brand.

I am loving the way the layers are growing out. I've been taking MSM almost regularly and applying either my own sulfur mix to my scalp or another growth concoction that I have(I didn't start to apply them until week 4 when the fresh relaxer feeling wore off.

So here's where I am today.

since the cut, I went back after three weeks for another DRC treatment. I forgot to schedule one for this past saturday which was exactly 6 weeks. In the mean time, I wash it, heat protect it dry it either air dry or warm blow dry. Then I flat iron it and just wrap it nightly. That's it.

I'm loving the overall thickness. I think I might be getting my thin ends cut soon too....I hate the process of growing out layers.

I love the way she vut the layers because they are very subtle. They aren't severe at all and to be honest, I can't even do my hair and have the layers stand out the way she does it. lol Thats a good thing because they blend so well.

Very nice, your hair is growing quickly.
Thanks and yeah it really is. I always knew my hair grew fast. Retention has been my issue. I tried PSing and I always felt that my hair hated it, my hair hates being wet too. So if I can just keep it done and out, then I hope to reach APL by the end of the year. . . .If i don't cut it again, because I am actually liking this cut.

Rather than starting a new thread each time, I'll just add to this one. It's growing. I'm so excited. Less really is more. I don't use any products on my hair now after I've washed and conditioned it except infusium 23 and a heat protectant, usually Chi or Tresemme I use the morrocan oil after for shine and for that extra soft feel.

my hair has swangalang for days and when I relaxed at nine weeks, it was still swanging, but I was experiencing breakage so caved and relaxed it.

I just washed it today with Aphogee moisturizing shampoo then used the Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor mixed with Organix Tea Tree condish. I left them on in the shower long enough for me to shave. After I rinsed, I put in some infusium, not to make it dripping, but just enough so that I could feel something. I let it air dry while i did some running around and then hit the roots with the dryer because they were still damp. I applied a dime size of silk infusion before blowing it, then followed with the flat iron. Most of this is just with one pass. I really don't like going over and over a section. It usually takes me 15 minutes to flat iron my whole head because of this.

Oh, that little piece in the back that's flipped out, is from my crown, y'all know my crown had been giving me issues. So from my crown having been an inch, this is great. My stylist did trim it for me when I got it relaxed on May 6th. I guess she more like dusted it. I am loving it.

Can you tell I'm excited about it. lol
