 Ok so I was soo fed up with the dryness, and overall hotmessness, of my hair when it was straightened. I love my natural hair, but sometimes I want to rock it straight, and I want it to look striaght, I don't want to be Don Kings twin. And all of the Poofy Frizzy ends made me think that my hair was damaged. So I was going to cut it all off, ya know, get a bob. Then comes my mom. She tried convincing me for months not to do it, but the day before my BC, my mom comes running into the room with Dax curling wax. She tells me to try it, and I just about pass out. IT made my hair look Indian! No more Poof, no more dullness. My hair was nothing but shine, and silk! I looked in the mirror like  I got hot and heavy with my own hair porn. :lachen:I was flipping it and twirling, I was a mess lol. So I go to my hair appointment, and get it dies black, and get a few inches off, and my hair looks like bling. What I love most about the Dax curling wax is that it isn't really waxy, and it is pretty stiff the first day you use it, depending on how much you use, but as days go by, its like your hair marinades, it just gets shinier, and silkier.

Go buy some Dax ya'll!! lol (scroll down for Pix)

Pictures please!!! You already know better than that around here.

Now back O.T., thanks for posting this. My friend and I have both experienced this with our natural hair.

:poke::needpics:

And on top of that you had the nerve to talk about all the swag you had and not share! Shame on you. :lachen:

I was looking for some bling this morning.

Wow though if you found the cure for straightening hair without the rough looking ends - please give your momma a kiss for me! Not all naturals have hair that is easily straightened. This will certainly help a lot of ladies.

Why did you decide to take off a few inches anyway though?

wow, I'm glad that helped you but I cant get down with Dax, it way to heavy for MY hair. I'll stick to really good DC and blowdrying with serums (CHI silk infusion is what I currently use). I'm on day 7 of wearing my hair straight and its still bouncy. I'm a mixture of 4a and 4b btw. I've been using coconut oil EVERYDAY for the shine and it hasnt weighted my hair down yet. But I'm glad Dax is working for you. LOL mom went old school fo real

I just wanted a fresh start this year, and I had a whole bunch of split ends, so I cut off 4-5 inches. The Dax I have is really thin for a wax, it has lanolin oil in it, so it is extremely oily, but it doesn't fry or dry out your hair either.

Here are some of my pics lol, they are still uploading on photobucket. The first one is the before, its so sad this is how I used to walk around lol. this was from the begining of last year, but pretty much sums up how straigt my hair got. My hair looks wavey becaue I braided it, I also used jasmine oil, for extra shine!

Nice pics OP. I have the same problem, my hair feels dry when I straighten. How do you use the dax? Does it also work as a heat protectent, or do you put it on before the heat protectant?

Congrats, OP!!! Your hair is definitely shiny- I'm glad you found something that works for you!!!

With Each section I used the heat protectant and pass through with my striaghtner once. Then I put on the dax and pass over it again. Honestly I'm not sure if it is a heat protectant or not, so I would use one just to be safe. But it Since I've been using it humitidty, is not longer a fear lol

Yay! It does look silky. I love when we find what works for our own hair. for me it's adding SAA to my detanglers.

Yeah ... it definitely looks good. I'm glad the product worked for you. I can't use it though; my hair is too fine/thin for wax. It would probably make it worse.

Wow nice results. I may try it, my strands are thick and stubburn.

What temp setting do you use and were you light or heavy handed with the product?

I used setting 8 on my maxiglide. I passed through one section at a time, frist with my heat protectant, then I used the dax. I was very light with the product, I used just enough to get my desired look.

Wow Dax is really bringing me back to my youth. I remember it really gave me some nice waves!

Good result though OP. :)

Did you use the washable Dax wax?

No I used

It is really thin, and it washes out well, and as the days go by, my hair gets better and better. And you only use it when you press your hair. This is not an everyday use product.

are you adding alittle of it to the ends or the whole length of the hair?

Your results are beautiful - congrats.
