My son and I went to Earth Day today and I must say, I have never seen so many natural headed people in my life in one spot. They were everywhere, afros, locs, twists, you name it I saw it. Ive gone to Earth Day each year and never seen this many naturals. I also noticed that the men had the best natural dos, I saw one guy with a HUGE afro, it was all fluffy and warm looking :lachen:

Yeah! I was at the mall the other day and I saw several women with TWA's and those cute colorful headbands...I was like heyyy sistah go sistah :grin: I like seeing the variety, not just the typical bone straight hair or weaves. :yep:
 
I was at a meeting last week and of the 7 women in attendance, 6 were natural! I texted 2 of my natural friends and we were all excited about it.

The one thing I LOVE about natural hair is that everyone's hair texture is different! I think that makes each of us even more unique!:yep:
 
We're taking over. I know alot of people say that this board is not reflective of society but I've been seeing a lot more naturals irl as well, at least in the big cities.
 
Yes I am seeing natural hair a lot more then usual. I dont know if its because Im natural and I'm noticing more natural hair then relaxed. But women that I have seen have real nice, big, beautiful afros.

I was thinking that it might be a phase or the "in" thing to do right now. Let's just hope it isn't and that more and more women will embrace their natural hair!:grin:
 
I went to an event this Saturday and everyone in attendance seemed to be natural!

I have to admit, I was really surprised at first. I usually see a lot of random people on the streets, but I was surprised by this large group of men and women.

I hope it's not a trend for most folks.
 
Yea I'm hoping the same thing too. But as of a late, I have been seening lots of naturals in new orleans which is pretty much unusual in the south. We just might be taking over :)

I was in Baton Rouge. I was definitely surprised to see so many here.
 
:grin: I'm very excited about it and even more so because we are seeing more and more natural ladies on the TV!!
 
There are tons of naturals down here in VA. We even have a "Happily Natural Day" in Richmond. But I think its more of a regional thing because when I go back home to Pittsburgh I'm like the only natural and everyone else has a wrap.

Also, when I lived in Pitt. I said I would never go natural. Never say Never!
 
i went to a club this weekend and i'll say about 60% of the women had natural hair. and some have wigs/weaves that looked natural. i did see one girl with the shaved head on one side. i was shocked lol, i never saw anyone irl with the half shaven head.
