Hey Ladies,
this is my next set of crochet braids.

I really happy how they turned out
the website ( http://www.doctoredlocks.com/catalog/Rastafri-Hand-Tied-Body-Curl/ ) where I bought the hair reccommended 4 to 5 packs for a hole head. I bought 7, I was told I have a big head:grin::perplexed. I only used 2.5 packs. Which is good I will have hair for the next 4 months assuming i can manage to keep this in for 8 weeks at a time:ohwell:.

I space the braids out about an inch until i get to the top I make them more dense.

I try not to have a cornrow directly above my ear, if I have about an inch gap it makes the hair lay down better around my ear.

I didn't add extra hair to my cornrows this time either:grin:

I dont' like my part to be dead center on my head so I braid at an angle.

So here are a few pics. Sorry I don't have more my PC is acting wigging:rolleyes:

I wish I could cornrow like that; yours look gorgeous.

How long did the stylentake? It's very pretty, btw.

about 6 hours total
It takes me a few tries to get my cornrows stable around the areas I have to connect braids.

Thanks I think I keep gettin better with each install and learning how the hair will fall based on how I position the cornrows:yep:

Is is just me or is everyone more enamored with the cornrows than the completed style? LOL! I think they're both beautiful. I didn't know they sold hair at doctored locs. I'll definitely have to check that out.

Thanks OP for the info, now I have something else to try this summer.

I think it's because my finished pick looks so busted but I was tired:look:

Maybe I will post a better pic:spinning:

Your hair looks very nice.

What exactly are crochet braids? Do you add already braided hair to the cornrows?

Is it like a faster way of doing box braids?

Nice job...I'm jelli of the cornrows because that's something that I have always wanted to know how to do but never learned...I hear YT has some great tutorials, though...

Those cornrows are bomb I have to agree! I know how to cornrow but my parts are atrocious and sometimes my rows are lumpy and uneven (especially if I'm tired). Good job on the entire look though. I'll be taking my first set of crochet braids down tomorrow night - 6 weeks. Thanks for all your helpful hints with my experience.

I have to update this post!!

This hair is WONDERFULLLLLL, Last night I brushed out the tangles and then divided the hair into 6 large braids. Baggied my head and went to bed. this morning I took the big braids out and the curls returned fresh as the first day!!!!

It's extremely light weight, the micro twist I had before were really nice but very heavy. I took them out early because I didn't want all that weight on my neck when I was at my Zumba Certification class LOL

Oooohhhh I think I found my Staple hair!

Very nice! WOW! I love it. I don't even try to cornrow or do any types of braids to my hair except for regular ol' plaits.
