... and I really feel like chopping off the relaxed hair now. I think I need to get my hair braided in order to hold off some... the back is too short to hold braids though :(

be patient Val. It seems you aren't ready for that. Sleep it off, tomorrow is a new day.

How are you wearing it now?

Is there a nice style you can do now with the scarf tiedown method so that you can just leave your hair for a week?

I'm sorry for your frustration. Hang in there.

I've been wearing my hair pulled back for the last 2 weeks or so. The relaxed hair just looks so thin and the new growth is thick:wallbash:
so are you planning to transition or are you just frustrated?

I'm planning on transitioning but I hate dealing with 2 textures. Last time I transitioned I planned on going 1 yr but I BC'd after 7 months.

Put it away in braids/weave
Don't make any rash decisions, especially since you said your husband was having a hard time with it

I think I will have to do that Foxglove...... now to find a braiding place in New Orleans....

and Nola ladies have recommendations?

I read on one thread to use yogurt and citric acid to smooth out NG and 4 A/B hair.

I tried it on Tuesday and my NG was undercontrol again.

If braids aren't your thing, try wigs. I plan on rocking one next weekend.

Good luck!

I don't have a problem with braids.... the back is really short though.... not sure if the braider will be able to get it good..... and I also need to locate a braider out here.
