My bushy braidout! (pics)

Hi ladies so I did a braid out today and my hair is kinda of feeling itself. At Target a lady just in passing told me she was feeling my hair then when I stopped at the store this old white man was sitting in the car i parked next to with the window down and when I got out the car he stopped me and asked how I got my hair to be so curly, so I told him and tried to keep it moving. As I was walking away he hollered out the window "But how did you get it so radiant? Its just so pretty and curly and you're radiant" I politely said thank you and walked away with my kool-aid smile on. My hair's been such a problem child this winter it feels good to be getting complimented again. Enough chatter below are the pics!

Thank you ladies!! My natural anniversay will be 3 yrs in June. I just cowashed with Dove then braided it up. I sprayed a little mane and tail hair strengthener over it after i was done braiding

Just a quick question: Did you comb your hair at all in between you cowashing and braid setting? I tried to do a twistout w/ miss jessie's curly pudding and combed it through each section then twisted, and it came out horrible. I know you did a braid out so it's different, but I wanna know what I did wrong

Lol Thank you ladies for your comments. The color is actually my natural born hair color. The bright blonde streak showed up when I was young and never left.
PJ I combed my hair while I was rinsing out the conditioner and then finger combed the sections as I was braiding
