Thank you so much for responding! I don't know about anyone else, but I have more questions :grin:

- What relaxer do you use? Do you have a preference at all? Lye or no-lye?
- What products/oils do you use?
- How often do you trim?
- How do you detangle? Dry hair, damp hair, wet hair, under the shower head, etc.?

:dizzy:Your near my goal length!!!

I remember you from YT, i loved your vids..your hair was gorgeous then & still is now!!!

your hair is so long and pretty. are you gonna go natural again someday? your curls were beautiful. ♥

^^ thank you and good question, I really don't know because, when I went natural I was not sure I wanted to wear straight hair again and with time that changed. I think my goals overall have been fulfilled straight or curled and I'm just gonna continue to do what works for me because at the end of the day I have to cater to and walk around with it on my head .

OH my Lawd! You have beautiful hair. Your progress from the beginning of your hair journey is very inspiring :yep: Thanks for sharing.

Your intellect is definitely not shy... ahahah no problem I dont' mind answering questions as long as it will give someone a different opinion and clarify things. But remember each head and lifestyle is different so just take everything I say as another perspective :)

- What relaxer do you use? Do you have a preference at all? Lye or no-lye?
The first relaxer I got was Mizani, I hated it. I think it was too strong and gave me a 'pin-straight' look which is not what I was going for in the first place. The next time around I decided to do the relaxer at home, filled with anxiety I went to the store and bought this brand and make http://mp.hairboutique.com/_images/products/OrganicOliveOil_RootSimulator_350w.jpg no-lye. And I think it said somewhere for medium hair ( I dont remember) to keep it in for 15 mins, I kept it in for at least 3-5 mins less than what the time said.I dont' believe in the whole waiting till your head is on fire theory.

- What products/oils do you use?
Right now these are the main things I use.
For my buns;
Olive oil to seal my hair
+
ecostyler protein brown gel to sleek it back

when I'm gonna straighten;
-shampoo k-pak reconstruct shampoo + conditioner (mixed with vitamin e oil which I watered down a lot ..I'm gonna change this around because I have the unrefined vitamin e oil and I put a bit much in my conditioner so now it feels sticker( ugh) .. I might end up using v05 conditioner mixed in with my previous conditioner mix to lower the oily stickiness)
-Biosilk silk theraphy ( pea sized amount focusing more on my ends.. a little goes a long way.
-OR lacio lacio high shine leave in conditioner (I had been using this before getting biosilk)

when I'm gonna DC;
-Henna mixed with stuff
-OR amla mixed with stuff

btw I have ALOT of stuff left over from being natural and i use some of them sometimes. If i want to just use and finish up products. And I have oils for days!!!... because i bought large containers from fromnaturewithlove.com like emo oil (i think that's how it's spelled because the label wiped off) if I dont wanna use coconut oil, I use that. And glycerin oil, in the summer I put that in my conditioner or spray bottle ( yes i still use a spray bottle) if i wanna get extra moisture from the air.. or whatever glycerin is supposed to do. :grin: I have mayonnaise for DT which I love because my hair comes out shiny and moisturized! I even have a big jar of curls whipped cream left over and i slapped some on my ponytail at night just to use the product, I was an OD pj now I try to stick with the minimum with little exceptions I mentioned earlier, I don't wanna throw anything away nor waste.

- How often do you trim?
I recently did a "faux" trim, I say 'faux' because I barely took off 1/4 of an inch. But the last time I had was.... dang, I think on my first and only wash and set after the perm, I was very specific on how much she cut, plus she speaks mostly spanish so i made her show me from my ends how much she was cutting... for all the trouble i made sure i tipped her good though since the wash and set that day was 12 dollars... they charged me 5 extra minus cutting because my hair was long already pft.

- How do you detangle? Dry hair, damp hair, wet hair, under the shower head, etc.?
Omg ppl detangle with dry hair?????!!!!! girl, wet hair, and if i hadn't detangled in like 2-3 weeks i do it under the shower head and take my sweet time because my roots would be tangled as hell.

Holy cow!! Amazed is not enough to describe the thought or feeling I have looking at those pics, especially after seeing your siggy. Your hair is simply gorgeous, and yeah, I'm about to hate because I'm mad as hell after seeing that. Your growth and retention is on point and it looks like it's continuing to grow. Your progress after BC'ing is too much for words, I can only wish I had growth like that. Honey, whatever it is that you are doing, please continue to do it!!

And yeah, I'm jealous!!:grin:

ahahah, don't be, it takes one day at a time honestly, I was pissed as hell when i chopped my hair off and promised myself never to do it again... I have chubby cheeks, esp when i start putting on weight, and having short hair was just NOT POPPING for me ahhaa. I liked being natural as well but with time and all the maintenance i felt i had to do I just moved on from that. All I ever wanted when i started this journey was to do my hair myself and so far, I've achieved that and then some. lol thanks for the compliments :)
