My word you hair is lovely!!!

And looking at the progress from your siggy....you seem to have the retention game down pat!

thank you for this!!!

Easily one of the most beautiful heads of hair I've seen on the board.

As many have asked already, what's your regimen?
I see you're stretching your relaxer? Or are you transitioning?

WOOH CHILE!!! cant wait til my hair is swinging that low down my back!!!! or should i say that high on my arse!

JEALOUS!!!!

Thank you!!! so much ladies for the kind words. Believe me this forum has inspired me for a longtime and I owe most of my progress to the wonderful advice a lot of you ladies contribute on this board.

I will try to answer as many questions as I can, to the best of my ability :) and welcome more :). I re-read over your comments and kinda grouped them together to respond back ( I hope you dont mind ^^)

Do you have a fotki or regi?
- Right now, no but, I recently started up a blog just to keep track of my progress and see what is working or not for me along with a few other things the link is www.littlemiss86.blogspot.com I'm obsessed with hair, so it's my most talked about subject ^^. I also had a youtube a while back as "lov3sponge" when I was natural but kind of fell out of it when my mom fell ill and was diagnosed with lung cancer, after that within a few months I started neglecting my hair till it matted up lol and one day I said, to hell with this and permed it, even after perming it I left it up in a ponytail a lot. lol. Anyway, now I've got another youtube 'stelladata' there arent any videos up yet... those might take sometime, since I'm not yet motivated enough to make some.

What is your regime?
I posted up some details about this on the blog but i've made a few changes now; (simplified)
-straighten once a month.
-ponytail/bun rest of the month (lack of time/ being lazy is my reason for doing that, can't beat 5 min hairstyles lmao)
-wash DC every weekend (if possible, if not then during that week) But DC every week is a must for me. ( with henna, I was using amla before but ran out)
-drink at least 48-56 ounces of water everyday ( I haven't been updating the thread but, I've been keeping track of my water intake when i can)
And that's it! (If I forget anything, you'll see it on the blog or I will update everyone here, whichever comes first)

@SmilingElephant
What is your length unstretched??
My hair is actually permed now so the curls are much much looser, so I don't think I can say it is 'unstretched" but when I was natural and touching bra strap stretched, my hair would spring back to SL ( I HAD CRAAAZZZYYYY SHRINKAGE!!)

@Bnster ,wheezy807
Will you grow it longer?
Did you reach your hair goal?
What are your plans now?

My hair goal was hip length after my jan 07 bigchop and according to this chart I am almost grazing hip length (i think, I don't have much hips so idk lmao ) http://images42.fotki.com/v1380/photos/1/1312335/7047993/PG13hairchart-vi.jpg
( that was my goal length-wise) But my real goal- which was what started me down this hair journey and the path of being natural and experimenting with my hair was simply to be self efficient, I was tired of constantly dependening on my hair salon and not knowing how to do it myself [and, don't get me started on how expensive it would get for a simple wash and set when my hair grew longer] I think that's one of the most important things I learned while being natural- HOW to do my own hair. Though I still haven't conquered the art of roller setting, I hope that before the end of this year I'll get it right to some extent because that will eliminate the flat iron which means NO HEAT! and which further means, even healthier hair!! hehe anyway... sorry im getting carried away.
Yes I plan on growing my hair to possibly full tailbone length and by the end of this month I will have had my first trim at the hair salon in almost a year and half. I have a few split ends but bagging my ends (which i learned on this board and am so thankful for) has saved me from crispy looking ends.

I see you're stretching your relaxer? Or are you transitioning?

ahahah nah girl I did the transitioning thing already a long time ago before my bigchop hehehe this time i'm just stretching my relaxer. I wanna stick to either twice or once a year. The summer is getting close so I wanna see how long I can last . If I can stretch to the 1st day of summer that will mean I'll relax once this year because I don't have to worry about humidity in the fall and winter once the summer is over. ( I live in NY)

I hope I have answered all questions and then some, feel free to ask whatever.. I'll answer. I've come a long way, yes, but not on my own advice alone.
Thank you!
