So, as some of you may know from the Hula thread I'm very inspired by Hawaiian/Polynesian artistic expression. The women of Hula are my inspiration and I think they wear long hair better than any other group. Seeing their long HEALTHY hair and beautiful expressions is actually what prompted me to grow my hair long. Snowbird Bento in particular who performed a dance dedicated to Queen Emmalani and her beautiful flowing hair that was so stunning it left me in tears. That's saying something when a woman's hair can inspire an entire series of chants and dances.
Reading so much about Hawai'i got me hooked on the jewelry style (so charming!) so I started collecting gold plumeria jewelry. A local show-only Hawaiian vendor I'm friendly with is attending two shows in my area in 2011, and to celebrate my accomplishment, I hope to purchase a larger piece/set from her to wear. While it's obviously for me, I want to have a beautiful reminder of how the ladies of Hula and Hawai'i inspired me to embrace my femininity and make use of the beauty that is the female crown.
So, what about you ladies? Do you have something planned for when you hit your goal other than swangin' that hur and taking lots pics?
