My son has two Guinea pigs and with summer coming I know he will want to take them outside sometimes.

So I bought an all natural flea spray as a precaution
Well I just read the lable out of curiosity

and the first ingrediant is
SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate)
Cedar wood Oil:blush:
Cinnamon oil:blush:
Clove oil
Water
Vanillin
benzaldehyde
4 hydroxy 3 methoxy

Just thought I would share

I'm not too sure about the SLS but many natural oils and spices have been known to have antimicrobial properties. There are many theories that certain leafy spices evolved simply for that purpose. The proposed theory with cedar oil is that it evolved to ward off moth larvae that eat the tree. The earth provides so much!

Yep. The oils act as insect repellents and also help soothe the drying effects of the SLS -- which, by the way, is probably in there just to make the spray kinda lathery. I'm not sure SLS has insecticide properties, though it does have antimicrobial properties. You're probably just irritating the fleas, then drowning/smothering them. :spinning:

SLS??? :yep: My dog had gotten fleas and I didn't want to use chemicals on her. I got a bottle of sunlight from the dollar store and put it all over her. Poor thing was miserable. Fleas died and washed right off when i put her in the shower. I did an acv rinse afterwards. Her fur was so shiny and soft! :look:

Diatamaceous earth kills fleas too among other critters and it's great for hair and skin :yep:
