PRAISE THE LORD!!! :trampolin :bouncy:

After two and a half months of waiting for it to get back in stock and several pushbacks it is finally HERE!! It's sitting right in front of me on my desk. I honestly can't believe it.

I was really beginning to wonder if it was one of those "mythical" products that you hear about, but never actually see. Just felt the bottle again to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

I'm going to try this thing out first thing tomorrow morning to see if it truly lives up to the hype certain folks claim it to be. I shall soon see. Will keep ya posted! :peace:

i would love to know how this works.
i hope you like it after youve waited for so long.

Shoo, I hope so too Chebaby. I like their Super Butter Creme. It smells like cake frosting and leaves my hair soft, but can get too greasy if you use too much. I like that I can double it as a hand creme when in a crunch.

The Cocoa Hemp Buttermilk smells wonderful too. I think it'll work better for my hair in the summer time. It's a bit too moisturizing for MY hair needs right now. I've used on wet and dry, but it's not working the way I would like. Maybe if I had super thick hair or wore controlled styles it would be lovely. Yeah, I'll keep it for that.

To be honest, I could do without either of these, because I love Qhem's Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee and Burdock Root Butter Cream. The CCTG has officially replaced my beloved Miss Jessies Curly Buttercreme as my number one styler for dry hair. My hair smells better, flows nicely, looks sheeny and healthy.

I don't know if I can deal with DM's stocking issues. Products work great, but... :nono:

I'm waiting for mine to arrive...i got an email the other day from them explaining the further delay in shipping of some orders, as they didn't get their full shipment from suppliers as they expected to. I thought the email was apologetic and very responsible of the company.

So I shall wait a little longer...but can't wait to read the OP's review!

I wish I knew your were interested in these products...I bought practically the whole line last summer. I could have sent you some sample and given you a few products.

I purchased mine directly (in person) from the owner because she lives in my area. She is very nice. The products were only soso for me. I still have a few items left...make sure to keep them in a COOL place. :yep: I gave a few away @ a Curlynikki meet up back in January. I wasn't using them and did not want them to go bad.

Now that I have grown out and cut most of my color treated ends I may revist.

I might have to try this out. You ordered directly from the site? Is there any other place to order? Im not about to wait a month for some hair stuff

Where did you buy if from Jada? It's already out of stock on their website again, I've been wanting to try this ish for months and can never find it in stock :(

Okay, here's my review.

Used it this morning the same way I apply all my styling products - on sectioned wet hair smoothed/raked through with my fingers.

Pros
No frizz
Defined coils/curls
Shiney hair
Able to manipulate as it dries

Cons
The scent - smells like JAM gel, feels like it too. I can STILL smell it and my hair is 100% dry now.

The consistency is icky. It's like an oily/gelly product, but not greasy.

After I finished, I diffused for a few minutes, especially around my neck area, because the gooeyness was getting on my nerves and I didn't want that stuff on my clothes. Now with that said, it does what it says it will do - provide, shiney, frizz free coils/curls. Hair dries a bit crunchy, but you can scrunch it out. It's not stiff. I'm able to manipulate and fluff out my hair as it's drying with no problems.

Economically, it's cheaper than my current HG (Curls Gel-les'c) and there's more product, but I don't like it enough to reorder or deal with stock issues. There are styling products that I can get at the local bss that will work just as well. I will buy it when and if she's ever stocked in Whole Foods, other than that I'm not going out of my way to pay $13 in shipping for a $20 product that I don't consider a miracle product.

I was fiending for this gel for over two months due to a couple of youtube videos. I'm over it now.

Sunshine_One, did you try the NEW formula in the pink color? This is the one I got. I like the Super Butter Creme and have two jars of it. The cake batter scent is delicious and it does a decent job of moisturizing my hair. After I use these up though, I won't be reordering. I like Qhem's Cocoa Detangling Ghee and Burdock Root Creme better.

Lamaravilla she is ALWAYS out of stock with this product!!

I wanted to order it way back in late January/early February, the eta was supposed to be 2/23 or 2/24. Never arrived. Got pushed back to 3/5. So guess what? 3/5 comes around and you're told you can pre-order it, but it won't get shipped out until the 3/18. I was like WTF? Anyway, I wound up ordering on 3/6, product shipped out 3/19, got it yesterday, so I'm cool.

In MY personal opinion, it's really nothing to trip over. As product junkies we've seen just as good or better that can be found locally. :giggle:

So now I'm feeling some type of way lol...

I ended up getting months ago in a swap a version of the old formulated Miracurl in a jar (vs. the bottled version out now) and kinda through it under my sink since I wasn't wearing my hair out for the winter months. I found out about the new version and ordered it in the meantime, but today finally decided to break out the old one to use.

Why does this old version work PERFECTLY. I can honestly say I'm having a great hair day. Even my manager this morning when I walked in her office commented and said "you're hair looks REALLY good today". It doesn't dry crunchy, provides the definition and frizz control I'm looking for, it has a healthy sheen to it (not dry/dull lookinging crispy curls), my hair isn't stiff at all, and dry, it doesn't feel like I have product in it.

So now that I've decided I really like this stuff, I won't even be able to replace it once I finish because from the reviews it appears that the new formulation is different. I guess I shall see once it arrives...

I swear...you just can't win in this product game lol.

I've been interested it this as well but will not deal with the stocking issues.

Did you take any before and after pics?

Nah Brownbean, I haven't taken pics of anything I've done for a minute now.

Lovnmihur has some on her fotki:
http://public.fotki.com/lovnmihur/2011/miracurl-gelly-3-24-10/

And CoilsKinksCurls has several videos with her results.

The product will give you shiney, frizz free, very defined coils/curls. Not stiff or too crunchy either. It's not a bad product, the problem is she can never keep it in stock long enough for people to give it a try.

The new formulation does the same thing. Because you've tried the old formulation you may notice a difference than those of us who haven't.

Ok, I'll finally be trying this out this new formula tomorrow so we'll see how it goes!

Hey, not such a great experience the first try :( I ended up diffusing half way through then washing right out. It's very thick and I think causes you to use more because it doesn't spread/distrubute as easily as the old formula did and some other products I use do. It also started to try very hard and sticky. I may have used to much and may have to try out another method of applying it, but haven't taken the time to experiment again with it yet.

So far it's a no go for me, but I'll give it another shot soon.

thanks for the review.
i ordered it a few days ago with the mist and twist and lock. i hope i like it. i usually dont shingle in small sections, i usually take 4-6 big sections and spread a little threw so maybe thats'll be better?

I tried it again this morning with MUCH better results than the first, but still need to play a little more with it. It's definitely more promising after the second try. The first time I just finger combed throughout without parting my hair into sections.

This time I separated my hair into 4 sections and worked about 3 pumps through each section, spritzing with water to help work it in. Much, much better. I have to play with the top part of my hair which is looser in texture and may need a little more product or may need to apply in smaller parts toward the top.

I was able to try her miracle gelly from a swap on here, and I really like it, only thing after reading all this I am a lil dismayed, I dont want to fall in love w/a product and its d/c or formulation is changed or NOT in stock... I got an email saying it will be back in stock June 27th I plan to buy a few bottles and pray she keeps it in.. I really do like(love) the results of this product..

I stopped using this product shortly after I got it.

I dunno, I was experiencing hair breakage where I never did before and there were only two things I added new - I gave myself a demi-color and the Miracurling gelly.

The demi color I use is by Goldwell and requires the use of a developer. It's a chemical, but a safe chemical and the color washes out after a couple of months. I decided to stop using the DM gelly first, then waited for the color to wash out. I reapplied the color and never reapplied the gelly just to see what would happen. After a few weeks of using my regular styling products and conditioners my hair hasn't broken off at all, so I'm going to attribute it to something in the DM Curlng gelly not agreeing with my hair.

I still have an almost full bottle left and don't plan on reusing. I don't find the breakage and now lack of it a coincidence. It's a great product, does what it's supposed to, but I'll stick with the regular "non natural" stuff. The ingredients might not be "prime", but it gets the job done and my hair is still on my head.

Of course you are and I don't blame you. DM is infamous for pushing back the stocking date of this product and pulling nonsense such as "preordering" which I had to do.

She obviously doesn't have the product and is using the so-called "upgrade" as an excuse. Why are you suddenly upgrading when folks are waiting for a certain product of yours? She ALWAYS has excuses on why things are late - manufacturer takes too long, an ingredient is hard to find, etc.

I won't be reordering from her again. Thankfully, none of her products really work for my hair. I like the Super Creme for the cake batter scent mostly, but it doesn't really do anything that my other ready made on the ground products do.

I do understand what it's like to want to try something that everyone's been raving about to get it out of your system. You can get the same results with Hair Rules Curly Whip and curls gel-les'c. I also heard the pink colored Eco Styler gel (firm hold) works well too. Haven't tried it yet, but I have tried the clear and the brown one (didn't like either). Might give the pink a try, since it's cheap. $4 won't kill me if it turns out to be a good product.

ETA: How are you gonna have "new goodies" when you can't even keep your "old goodies" in stock? Chick please!
